What happened with the Crissy Moran ordeal?
When we started Moran?s site, we had it doing 75-plus joins a day pretty quickly. We spent a lot on promotion, and things were going great, but then her boyfriend wanted her to move the site to Twisted Cash. At the time, we didn?t have a contract in place, and we gave webmasters notice that the site was moving. It came out of nowhere and caused a lot of issues. Then, Moran left her boyfriend, said she didn?t want to move to Twisted Cash, and stayed with us. So, we made her sign a contract and told her, in detail, that we wouldn?t go down that road again. It hurt our webmasters, and I told Crissy that I wouldn?t allow it to happen again. A year or so later, she ?found God? and wanted the site taken down, even though there are about 10 other Crissy Moran sites out there, along with tons of content available to buy to build new ones. I think she believed I would kill it. If we had the only Crissy Moran site, and the only Crissy Moran content, then maybe I could see shutting it down or phasing the site out over time. However, this wasn?t the first time something like this happened, and I made promises to our webmasters that the site was going to stay up after the first issue.Comment
