Its amazing how many people still deal with "others" that do almost similar things. But then, its considered "normal".

I mean, theres brokers happy enough to buy, sell, and resell traffic from illegal tubes.
Theres a HUGE amount of people buying ads on sites promoting or spreading illegal content and full site rips. Im seeing popunders of a huge company on EVERY tradesite i can find, most of them also hosting, or linking to full lenght videos with copyrights.

I'm no angel myself but I've learned not to do business with the scum. There was one sponsor I once promoted who had a bunch of stolen art. It did quite well. I let it go because it was an old school program when started and times were different then. However a few months after sending joins he knocked my percentage down to 20% without any notification. Then there is AFF. I did well with them for years and mostly ignored the bad things about them because they seemed to make me more money. Now do some searches and read the messages people have been posting about their conversions in the last six months. Then there's another guy here who had a program I liked and could easily convert. I recently read that he did some shady stuff in the past but I decided to ignore it. Come to find out recently he changed his program in a way which screws over affiliates badly. And let's look at the people getting screwed by programs and partners running away with the money. If you look carefully in most of these cases you'll find that there were warning signs and that they had a bad history.

In my opinion if you deal with people who have no business ethics eventually you too will become their victim. But do what you want. It's your business.

They claim to own webcams.com now and as I recall it switched hands right around April 2010 or thereabouts. Someone had to have provided some financial support for them to survive.

Correct. That's why I was very careful to specify ManSef in regards to seizures and ManWin in regards to buying up companies. Actually I misread your post...but I suspect that the seizure is probably why ManSef started selling assets to ManWin but I also suspect there are some legal structuring that still involves the top echelon of ManSef...but I do not know that it should matter to anyone other than those involved in the structuring. The fact is ManWin exists...and all of the whining on this board is not going to change that.

A company would have to purchase this property and ruin it completely, make huge sweeping changes for me to bolt. Every board has it's place. GFY is a great tool for researching good and bad companies and gives you access to most adult webmasters in one go. MP is a nice adult chat board, IW is great for business and newbie talk, GG&J is great for linklist discussion, and ADX is nice also for general biz and chat, JBM has a lot of program owners and program discussion. NP is just a spam board and great for program spam

Thing is GFY serves a valuable purpose and regardless of who owns it .. it will continue to be a good tool for Adult webmasters.

I suspect that you are never going to know all that you want to know or even all that they own. It appears to me that their plans are to eat the little dogs until they are the largest dog on the block so it will probably become more and more difficult to avoid doing business with them...providing one intends to stay in the adult business world.

In addition many if not most of the existing companies started with shady practices and many if not most still have shady practices. I think there's a good chance of more government intervention into their activities but that's just my opinion because I get the feeling they are dirty. I also believe there's a good chance of them being successfully sued for their lax repeat offender policies. I believe there may potentially be some other damaging things which could come out in discovery as well. I think it's a matter of time. Again this is just my opinion. Even if none of the above happens, the industry changes. Laws and procedures change. The game might one day be up.

A company would have to purchase this property and ruin it completely, make huge sweeping changes for me to bolt. GFY has value to me on almost a daily basis so yeah, I would continue to add my 2 cents whenever I had something to contribute even if a company I may not approve of bought it.

GFY is a great tool for researching good and bad companies and gives you access to most adult webmasters in one go. MP is a nice adult chat board, IW is great for business and newbie talk, GG&J is great for linklist discussion, and ADX is nice also for general biz and chat, JBM has a lot of program owners and program discussion. NP is just a spam board and great for program spam Thing is GFY serves a valuable purpose and regardless of who owns it .. it will continue to be a good tool for Adult webmasters.
