*Few SEO Questions*
What is the quickest way to get a big site (many html pages, say 1k) indexed by google?
I'm talking about getting all or most of the pages indexed. Obviously incoming links are important. I'm aware of that. But besides that, what's the best way to internally link all those pages to get them all indexed as quickly as possible? also, is submitting a sitemap to google a good idea? I hear it's good for new sites, but the disadvantage is that google will know which sites are yours even if they're on unique IPs so if one site is banned for some reason, there's a risk that more of your sites will be banned. What if I just register to google webmaster tools with a different nick for every site I own? won't that solve the problem?

Honestly, I use Internet Business Promoter for SE/directory submission, hasn't failed me yet.

I have long since found out that a sitemap to 1000 unlinked pages is the fastest way for those pages to go to supplimental status (which is hidden now so it is hard to tell).
If you have relevant pages, work on getting links to those pages from other sites, make sure that the structure of your sites encourages to bots to sniff around a bit, and you will get picked up. |

Without seeing the site, it's impossible to suggest a direct strategy for you. But here's a few general pointers to bear in mind.
* Make sure the site has a solid internal link structure. * Watch for duplicate content, use Robots.txt block out indexing of any duplicate pages. * Gain links deep into your website pages from relevant trusted neighborhoods. Google's Webmaster Central is a great resource, you can always create multiple accounts via proxy if you like. I find submitting a sitemap quickens up the indexing of new pages and content, there are many scripts that will generate you a sitemap or whatever i would reccomend you write it yourself catered specifically for your site. Hope that helps. |

2) Create HTML Sitemap on your website, with no more than 100 links on each sitemap. 3) Strong internal linking to make sure there is no orphan page. Do not link blindly, similar content pages should be linked. 4) And of course some deep links. 5) And yes, duplicate content is becoming more and more poisonous when it comes to get more pages indexed. Though Google have stopped showing duplicate pages as Supplement Results, but they still have this shit in algorithm. So, lesser the duplicate pages, the better. This was generic advice. Practically, create 10-12 HTML sitemaps with 90-95 links (MAX) on each page. Give each sitemap a couple dozen backlinks from other sites, blogs or directories. (You might consider buyin blogposts .. cheapest way to get permanent backlinks) Basically we want to make that sitemap pages "important" and thus importance will also pass to pages on sitemap and they will get indexed. |

1) Get a high PR (6+) one-way link to your site. Have it link to your main page and make sure you have a sitemap which has the weighting defined so the engines know which pages are weighted more.
2) You should be weighting your internal links based on importance, not speed. Make your base pages have the most links (ie: your home page, products page, etc...) and the least important pages have less links. You need to play around with your linking structure as there's lots of ways to shift PR around. Ex: equal distribution among each page versus a weighted algorithm to shift the PR to certain pages. This should be done with relation to the competition on each set of keywords your pages are aiming for. 3) Sitemaps are good WG

The best way has been answered already, related one way links from a older site with PR is by far the best way.
A friend and I did some testing on this last month. We created a site each with over 5,000 pages to be indexed. I went the cheap way and got DIR links he bought a couple of good one way links relevant to the site. Results in 22 days: Me... 200 pages indexed lucky to get 30 people a day on the site, first indexed page took 3 days. Him.. 2000+ pages indexed and over 300 people a day, first indexed page showed up under 24 hours. Needless to say which way I go when creating a new site now ![]() |

google sitemaps is a good idea, also you should get links to inner pages.
Links from big reputable sites work best.
