I have long since found out that a sitemap to 1000 unlinked pages is the fastest way for those pages to go to supplimental status (which is hidden now so it is hard to tell).
If you have relevant pages, work on getting links to those pages from other sites, make sure that the structure of your sites encourages to bots to sniff around a bit, and you will get picked up.
