Alexa 10k site for sale

I'm looking to sell www.girlgaze.com
the site is alexa 10k, has an average of 80-100k users per day.
the site is separated into 2 sections. the babe gallery section on the main page has around 15-20k per day from babe trades, se traffic and bookmarkers
the video section is located at www.girlgaze.com/dump and is mostly fed with traffic from trades and purchased traffic.
i buy 3000$ worth of traffic a month, which goes to the videos
every month i made up that money and a nice profit too
other expenses include server, i use about 30-40mbps with the site so it shouldn't cost too much to host
my main income is from popunders and some sponsors (more details to interested people)
the site runs on a custom cms developed by myself. it allows video uploads, embeds, plugs, gallery uploads (from zip files), gallery rips from fhg, gallery plugs, all with thumb cropper and auto resize.
it also features a webmaster account where people can submit plugs if they have a good ratio or if their account is preapproved.
the cms also includes a custom traffic script that tracks hits and and hits out (unique/raw in and unique out). it allows for raw redirection, meaning you won't send the same user to a domain twice.
The domain is quite old and the site has been around for years.
I am looking for serious offers starting at 35.000$ with a BIN of 50.000$
i reserve the right not to sell if i don't feel the price is good.

i profit maybe 2-3k depending. i've been changing some ad zones every week to see what works better so some weeks have been better then others. but overall the profit is good.
i also feed quite a lot of traffic to my other sites so once someone buys that site he/she can do whatever with that traffic.
btw, i forgot to mention reason of sale:
I got a new job that takes a lot of my time and i rather dedicate to that.

6 months revenue is general rule of thumb, so 50k is a bit much

If someone has even a bit of a clue what to do with such a site, they can make a lot more then 2-3k ;)

i'm not sure what sane person would sell a 3 year old site with tons of backlinks and stable trade partners for 6 month of profit. but everyone is entitled to their opinion ;)

I guess it all depends on how desperate for money you are, but I would never sell a site making 2-3k a month (24k-36k a year) for $35k-$50k

If I had liquid cash for this sum of money, I would be all over it, obviously after verifying the traffic, revenue, etc.

Agreed.

In THIS MARKET, 12 months is about the max. you are going to get out of any pay site. In a better economy, and market place, you could easily get 18-24 months revenue for a solid performer site that can back up traffic, and revenue claims.

I also would not spend all my time looking on GFY for buyers. The bulk of those with money, or new investors, are on other boards. Especially for big ticket items. If you are selling anything $X,XXX, and especially into the $XX,XXX I would recommend hitting some of the secondary, and mainstream, boards. They actually have money there and are not all talk.

Even with the best niche, or converting site, most GFY jokers will only offer you 3-6 months revenue. Which is more telling to their own finances, then the caliber of your site. Especially when it has a proven track record.

Good luck.

That only applies when you are buying CRAP or the seller is desperate.

With an established site with proven income sources, much higher multiples can and should be obtained or it is not worth selling.

I agree, but to each their own. Like I said before, I wouldn't sell something making $36k a year for just one year's revenue or half for that matter.

Impressive site. With those traffic numbers, I would certainly expect the monthly $2k - $3k could be increased comfortably with some aggressive marketing etc.

interesting posts here
i have to add:
i am not desperate to sell it, i'm not starving to death..yet
the only reason i've decreased my profit margin is because i tried more types of traffic and numbers. before renewing the last month i did a week without any purchased traffic and the site was stable at around 60k. so it's all up to the interested party whether he wants to buy traffic or do with what it has

more like 10 months is the rule of thumb. Never heard of 6 months. If you can't make ur money back within a year buying it as is, then i dunno what to say. Sold a few sites with the ten rule thumb. It normally takes mainstream biz companies like restraunts etc 3-5 years to see profit. Under a year is not a high risk. Not by any means.

Amen brutha. 10 months is the rule of thumb. Has been for the past 8 years I have been in the biz. Just because of a downed economy doesnt mean rules change. No reason he would sell if thats the case. With self sustaining sites people cannot expect deals. Nothing Bad intended Fris. Just responding

Sorry bud. That has never been the rule of thumb. Not all sites are the same. Not by a long shot. Especially with a membership pay site. That could be YOUR rule of thumb.

Saying an established TGP/blog/link list or similar is in the same category, and follows the same "rule of thumb" as a membership pay site would basically make you out to be a fucking clueless idiot.

Free site is what he is selling not a paysite. If you actually read what he is selling instead of posting for your post count then you will see that 10 months in the free site world is the rule of thumb(Ask Around). NOTHING is said for anyone to believe he is selling a membership pay site. So your fucking clueless comment needs to be flipped around. Don't tell me my craft. Paysite's might be yours but free sites are mine and I know ALL the rule of thumbs in this category. Your comments are not meant for a world where free sites are way different then paysites in EVERY way was uncalled for and egotistical. Maybe you have had a bad day.

Did you say your rule of thumb was specifically for a free site? Funny I did not see that. I re-read your prior comment(s) a half dozen times and did not see that mentioned once. I thought I did see comments in regards to revenue, and your 10 month rule.

The GFY buy and sell forum is becoming increasingly useless.

Tons of crap offered for sale, and when somebody offers something decent, its low ballers and trolls all the way.

I am sure stuff does get sold but there must be a more serious place to sell adult sites, although I have't found it yet.

Depends on the type of sites. There really is no 1 place to buy or sell sites. There should be for serious site owners. I know of 1 place but they buy everything accept for tgps/mgps

You spend $3k on traffic, and make $2-3k on the site?

So you are barely braking even?

price is negotiable, but i would really want to get something good out of this sale, not just throw away 3 years of work
