Americans tend to pronounce it Nitch where as it the UK, where we invented the language, it is pronounced Neesh.

Pornwolf 12-20-2004 09:37 PM

Neesh eee is the correct pronounciation. :2 cents:

Heh heh, just thought I'd throw the conversation a little off kilter.

Well to me NITCH should be spelled NITCH not NICHE. I call it NEESH, so there. Es at the end of words are typically silent and soften the consonants that come before them, but WTF do I know.

Drake 12-21-2004 02:58 AM

Neesh thank you. I'm sticking to it.

Exactly. It's like the words, capiche or cache. They're not pronounced capitch and catch.

Mefo 12-21-2004 03:01 AM

Neesh :glugglug all the Dutch webmaster I know say it like that as well

Manowar 12-21-2004 03:03 AM

Neesh, for sure.
