A sponsor has decided they don't want our traffic after 500 joins, so they want us to 404 our galleries immediately.

I'm not sure, money hasn't been discussed, but they want the galleries down regardless. I'm confused.

im confused too..with 500 sales the galleries seem to be doing very well...

Today has definitely been one of the most interesting days I've spent in this industry.

I just hope it's not the same one that offered a hosting deal to lot's of webmasters over here, including me.... :(

But I really think it is since I've talking about them before.... And that's some really REALLY bad news.... :(

Some people just aren't meant to run a business..... and you just never can be sure until something like this happens then people go "ah ha... yup, he's one that shouldn't"

I don't think they offered hosting, at least, not to us.

People assume it's per sign-up...but wouldn't it be 10 times as crazy if he was sending traffic to a revshare and they said this?

they offered hosting at one time, i emailed them about it to push some movie shit, despite the fact their support area says "all inquiries will be answered within 24 hours" I havent heard back from them

your chances are very bad lol...
best bet is prior to changing anthing, to send out an email to all the tgp owners involved and explain the situation as best you can. then all you can do is hope they wont BL you

The galleries are doing excellent. The content was VERY carefully chosen too. :)

It would take approximately 40 hours of our time to do that, and the liklihood is that many of them wouldn't care much. Estimated worth of the partner accounts is FAR beyond what this sponsor would be paying us this year.

They haven't been able to give us one that makes sense yet, everything they gave us was pure BS from the get go.

For the most part, tgp owners are people too and they'll understand your situation.

You have a few options as I see it.

1. Yank them, but don't redirect them. That's your safest bet.

2. Yank them AND redirect. I'll assume that these aren't year old galleries, so it will certainly be frowned upon. IF you get blacklisted, and you will by some places, send them a letter explaining. If they were a year old, noone would probably care.

3. Change the linking codes and link to a FPA with another sponsor(s). Much less blacklistings, and tgp owners will be more understanding with this option than option # 2. If you're using your last sponsor's content, you're pretty out of luck with this option, unless they don't pay you. Then fuck them.

Whatever you do, you've got some work to do. Best of luck

They are claiming that the content was taken from somewhere other than the members area, and that it isn't present in the members area, which is pretty bogus and untrue. I think they are afraid of oversaturating it, but if that's the case, we are not to blame. We are hardly the only ones promoting the site..

and people wonder why i really only like to promote my own sites...

I see they are recent postings -- that makes it much worse than if it was old stuff..

The question is why should we have to do that? That is MANY MANY MANY hours of manpower wasted, as well as revenue from listings that could have gone to other sponsors, you also have to take into consideration that we are NOT violating any TOS, everything was done according to what we were told.. so...

And I'd out them in public.
