You're missing the part where the name of this sponsor could be outted on the boards, likely resulting in a lot of affiliates and TGP's (some rather large) pulling their links and refusing to accept further galleries that promote this sponsort in future.

Their bottom line could drop well below freezing in a short period of time.

I think it is in their best interest to get their heads out of their asses and start being reasonable with Jact and Lady M. Yeah, I think so.

Well, if they are forced to quit promoting these galleries, they lose those sales anyway. If they leave the galleries up, and tell the sponsor to GFY, then they won't have any 404 galleries, won't have to change any galleries, won't have to email umpteen TGP owners, etc....

I say out them, and tell them to fuck off!

These sponsor dosent really know or is to stupid to know how much real power are behind this. Im guessing there's a good chance this sponsor is allready fucked.

So I've read all the posts in this thread. And unless I missed something from the beginning, I'm left wondering the following. Did you actually have permission from the sponsor to take content from their members area?

Indeed, they issued a password to the members area on two occasions (Our first one broke) for that very purpose.

Is it "HOW" you're using the content? i.e. saying the site is one thing when it's actually another. Or perhaps pushing the boundaries of what's acceptable while promoting this site? For example, I've had galleries promoting mature sites but making them out to be incest sites.

That part came out wrong. I should have said "I've had galleries submitted to me that promote mature sites by making them out to be incest sites."

I would suspect they're popular, I know they've got a lot of folks pushing them, for now.

We informed them exactly how we'd be using the content, they had no problem with us using it for galleries, but now they've changed their mind a month and a half later. Anyhow, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. We refuse to be bullied and it's probably not a good idea to bully your affiliates anyhow.

I can understand all of this LadyM and Jact. My partner accounts are the root of my business. They are way more valuable to me than a months worth of sales. This shit really does suck, and I hope you guys work something out. You have a lot of people who have your backs :)

I'd like to suggest something, I couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread, it's way too long so I don't know if this has been suggested already.

I say just fuck them! Leave your galleries intact, don't touch them and stop promotiong the sponser. If they don't pay you sue them :glugglug

as an affiliate program they can choose who to do biz with.
if they dont like the signups you are sending them, its their right to no accept anymore signups (within a 3-7 days notice) but they HAVE to pay you for all the signups you sent them.

Oh, they still want us to promote them, that's the kicker.

OP - just so you don't have to go through 6 pages (might ruin your future vacation) - for some reason, this sponsor has given jact &/or LadyM access to the members' area to pick and choose the content they would use to promote them. Someone within the company, for some foresaken reason believes that the content in question was not yet released (put live on the site). For this reason, they want jact & LadyM to remove those pics from the galleries or 404 those galleries.

The problem is this -

1) before they got into this, they had authorization to use the pics from the members' area (they did not hack into their server to pick up whatever they damn well pleased) they took what was available to the members

2) other webmasters are using the content - yet are not being asked to do this

3) they will gladly continue to keep them as affiliates - they just want those galleries gone

4) ANY CHANGE TO THOSE GALLERIES CAN & MOST LIKELY WILL:

Cause them to lose their partner accounts at some places that aren't reading this.

Cost them time to change the pages or remove the links or remove the content or whatever - TIME is of the essence

Cost them the PAID LISTINGS (that aren't going cheap nowadays)

COST THEM POTENTIAL FUTURE EARNINGS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN MADE WITH ANOTHER 'GOOD/REASONABLE' SPONSOR.

5) A valid reason has not been given for this request.


I can't believe this isn't resolved - if the program owner didn't see this thread and get it fixed PRONTO - he's not gifted on the PR & probably has no clue on the Decision-making process.

The last we heard from anyone was from our rep, this is what he told us.

"Listen I never got in touch with INSERT NAME HERE, so my advice is to take those galleries down."

The owner sent the rep to do his dirty work and the owner won't deal with this himself unless we sit there and war dial his cell. Not gunna happen. :glugglug

It really must take a lot of restraint by you guys and everyone that knows not to name the program involved.

We're asking for fair treatment, it wouldn't be fair of us to go and blurt it out without having exhausted our options. That doesn't mean our patience isn't wearing thin.

If the program owner is not on this and calling you directly - I say try a call - if you can't get through to him. I say keep your galleries there. If they don't pay you for it - take legal action, you have proof that you were given authorization to use the content? Sue them - oh and for reference info, you should out them on this public board, just so others are warned - get the legal info on this before (just in case) Fuck them - they aren't worried about your reputation, costs or income - why the hell should you worry about theirs?

Quite frankly - I've quit high paying jobs for less - if my boss is an idiot and makes me look bad, I quit. My reputation means alot to me - my word is sacred for me. I may not be a millionaire, but my word means alot to me and I protect it with my life.

I'd either slap my boss silly - let him see the light or tell him to keep his fucked up decisions and settle the chaos he's created himself.

But that's me....and in all my years, everyone has told me I have a fucked up sense of 'doing the right thing' hehehe.....
