Your FIRST favorite computergame EVER!
What was your first ever favorite pc game. One that you played and played and played over and over again for the first time.
Would be nice to post either screenies or videos about it, and if you can, on what computer you played it! |

Had a tandy color computer 2, and a book of BASIC programs to type in and (if I was lucky) save to cassette tape. Circa 1983.
http://www.old-computers.com/MUSEUM/computer.asp?c=508 Later I owned a tandy 1000 hx which had the amazing new 3.5 inch disks, and came with Space Quest. Around 1986 or so. (hotlink) http://zports.sourceforge.net/pics/scrn009.jpg |

I remember in elementary school, back in the 80's, my friends and I always loved having free time in computer class where we could play OREGON TRAIL and PITFALL on the classic Apple IIe's.
Those were the days.... "Would you like to try to cross the river or float your wagon?" "Jim has died." :1orglaugh Actually, I remember hunting for food as being my favorite part of Oregon Trail. |
Neuromancer on my C64. It even had a Devo tune in it :)
. |
Hard to remember which one was first....But could be impact on commodore 128,arcanoid clone.
|
First? I think that probably was Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego which was for the Apple 2e. My mother is a teacher so I did my fair share of Oregon Trail too. I would always have to carry the darn canoe over the river.
Later on I got majorly into the Monkey Island games. |
My first true favorite game was Red Alert, I spent hundreds of hours playing that. Heck, that was even my first online gaming experience.
|
haha oregon trail was pretty sweet, but warcraft II was the first one that i really wasted hours on

Real game I got into was Duke Nukem. Played that during study hall at school lol! Unless too many teachers heard about us playing over the network.
Leisure Suit Larry collection was fun as well! |
|
pacman and dyna :)
|
The only game I've ever played on a PC was the NASCAR Racing 2003 Sim
When I bought my first PC I bought the earlier version sim and a steering wheel all at the same time. It's so realistic the real NASCAR drivers use it to acquaint themselves with unfamiliar tracks. It's super fun to race others online |

My first PC game I fell in love with was Pirates. I played it on my Packard Bell 364 with a 5mb hard drive. Damn, now I feel old. :disgust Auto Duel on C64 http://www.abandonia.com/files/games/492/Autoduel_3.png Ghostbusters in C64 http://www.crashonline.org.uk/12/images/ghostb.gif |
Oregon Trail was my sheet, used to love hunting in that game.

|
I remembering being younger and scaring the hell out of myself playing DOOM all alone in the dark. :(
|
Zomg you fucking nerds....i love you!
Oregon trail was one of my favorites, so was that where in the world is carmen sandiego, I liked Bard's Tale (it was a dungeons and dragons game) and Pool of Radiance (same deal) and I had one where there was a dude and you moved him left and right and he balanced balloons on his head. And I also remember typing in soooo many pages of code to get to play a game, you'd get the magazines and in the back would be like 20 pages with tiny print of just pure code, LOL at the idea of reprogramming everything before you use! |
Tiough to say I don't remember...
Prolly one of the following Conflict in Vietnam ( Apple IIe) Gunship Falcon |
