That's right, Boneprone. It is not funny. When someone is stealing from you it is simply not funny. I guess people think it is funny until it starts happening to them. Honorable webmasters should group together and fight these bastards. They give us all a bad name.

Think about it. Someone wants to visit Thumbzilla. He types in the domain name and makes a typo. He types thumzilla.com. Go ahead. Try it in your own browser and see what happens. That is what the surfer who wanted to visit my site gets...a bunch of fucking pop ups. I have tried to build Thumbzilla as a quality site with no popups. The cybersquatter who registered thumzilla.com is hurting my reputation in the eyes of any surfer who makes that typo.

Equinox...think for a minute. Do you think I knew Thumbzilla was going to be a success? I didn't know. I just worked 12 to 15 hours a day, seven days a week for a long time and it finally became a success. It wasn't magic. It was hard fucking work. Do you think I knew about cybersquatting at that time? I didn't know. And now I am learning the hard way about these fucking pieces of shit.

I hope it doesn't happen to any of you, because it sucks. They are thieving scumbags and they deserve to be sued for every penny they have and be brought down hard.

Congress agrees and that is why there is a federal law against cybersquatting. And I have decided to put that law into use against the people who are cybersquatting Thumbzilla. And they will deserve everything they will get.

This guy is done. Im not as civil as zilla is. Ill have 70k of chineese traffic hitting up his site per hour.

Boneprone, do you think these cybersquatters use real email addresses and phone numbers? They are breaking the law and they know it. They use fake emails and fake phone numbers. You think I haven't tried contacting these assholes? I have been unable to. I have no choice but to go the legal route to get their registrars to transfer the domains over to me. It is a pain in the ass, and it costs money. These scumbags are truly pieces of shit. That is why I am going to go the extra mile...the legal mile. Track their asses down and sue them for everything they have.

Zilla, I never thought the squatter stuf was funny. It was always a serious issue to me.. The envirnment surrounding the sanchez shit(who is not me) was rather amusing to a point.

In my opinion, once you see that your effort converts into success and that there is such a thing as cybersquatting (what kind of stupid word is that anyways...), you should take the necessary precautions before some other shithead does it for you.

I don't know since when you've been working on Tzilla, but obviously it was before the whole c-squatting trend started.

Yeah go trademark or service mark your site name.. Then you are cool.

Its pretty cheap.. You can go to your state building, or you can look it up in you yellow pages and have someone do it for ya for a fee.

Either way its pretty cheap..

No, they used to be able to but somebody pulled that shit with a big company (I forget who) years ago. The law now says that if you can prove you were usinging it prior to them registering it then it belongs to you. This menas that if they do register it, they have to turn it over to you. Actually.... ( and seriously....) I think it's a matter of timing really. Seems to me that Zilla's reviewers start at midnight eastern time, which is 9pm here in Cali,.... and they seem to take the first 500 gallerys (that are approved for posting of course).... after that, you're pretty much fucked. So if I submit at 9am pacific time.... there's no way in hell I'll ever get approved, because they've already filled their quota for the day. (Stop me here anytime if I'm wrong Zilla......) Doesn't really have a fuckin' thing to do with quality or not... it's all about first come, first serve. And trust me.... my gallerys are as clean as they come. No reason they would be declined by anyone.
