well for the last 2 week period (and we're not talking about a few clicks here folks) the conversions for my favorite 3 are:

So - what does the customer receive each month?

... here we go again.

i hardly think that selling software titles where the customer receives a physical copy of a legitimate product puts me on par with a scum bag ripping off poor surfers by screaming "free", not providing the product promised and nailing them for 199 (at least) each.

our customer satisfaction level is huge. we've been doing this for almost 8 months now making sure we have it all i place, we have $40k in physical inventory of disks and boxes, a toll free support line, and a very honest billing process.

don't sugar coat. Exactly how do you measure customer satisfaction? Why don't you send em all an email and ask them if they knew beforehand if they were going to be paying monthly? Better yet, ask them if they even noticed the charges coming through every month. Or hey, how about putting the terms somewhere on the page that is going to get read and making the down button scroll down instead of skipping over the recurring charge part?

I could care less how you bill your customers but quit trying to tell WEBMASTERS that you weren't trying to hide your terms. Good grief man.

Our t&c are very clearly disclosed.

Our software is top notch, our billing practices are straight forward, and bottom line is that there are things involved in the billing process that none of you will ever even catch onto that make this a solid method of making the most of a customer.

Regarding customer satisfation, good question: How do we measure customer satisfaction? with metrics, like # of support requests per sale, # of refunds per sale, #of chargebacks per sale. According to those numbers we are doing very well.

Now go sell some software. You'll be suprised how much easier it is to sell than porn :)

no Im just reading termas and still wondering whats the recurring all about? Sorry but we update the software and send emails to the prevous customers welcoming them to download the upgrades, no recurring at all. Im reading the T&C and trying to find out the advantage of this Idownload club?
Oh and not threatened as most of the affiliates are mainstream guys. But we have a few adult affiliates and the software will be in some very large program owners members area. Sorry no disespect meant

Damn, if Bush ever does find his weapons of mass destruction, I will be the first to recommend that they be tested on the lyin' and cheatin' "businessmen" (used loosely) that feel that they have to pull one over on the consumer to make a buck.

So, why exactly does the billing for your software recur monthly?

the sotm club is advantageous to the consumer becuause they receive titles at great discounts over the online prices, and they also receive a great discount over the prices of those same titles in retail stores like compusa, best buy, microcenter, office depot etc..

thats right, you'll be seeing these titles in your local retail stores very soon.

I think I should put our pills on reccuring and we could pay webmasters $200 per average sale/join. so far I have to leave it at $72, hope this is ok with you ??

What's confusing is that when a customer joins a club or agrees to recurring billing, they understand EXACTLY what they're receiving.

If I signed up with you, even after reading the T & C I still don't know what to expect at month 2, month 3 ...etc.

And - US customers get a CD each month. Right?

What do international customers get - an email with a download link?

What if the email bounces - do they keep getting billed?

These questions need to be answered.

It may be advantageous...but only if the customer is willingly joining your little SOTM club. If it is such a great bargain...seems like a strange place to advertise the benefits...hidden in your T & C;s.

The question is not why... he can charge per month if wanted.. The question is why the Fuck its not mentioned at the top of the page that there's a $24.95 recurring fee.... (which is hidden in Term & conditions text... which "used" to be legal formalities that nobody reads...)

THe web is a great place tp try new scam... I mean... is there an internet police? Will the media expose you make a story on your scam... no... The question is how long will it last... The Paris Hilton site seemed to have made good money with that....
