If the Players Ball had a rock band, who would you want to see?

I'm going through artists right now preparing for the summer Players Balls in Vegas and Florida.

I have some excellent back up options incase I decide to do a rap/hip hop artist, so don't be surprised if that's what I roll with.

BUT...

As always, I'd still love to do a rock show but rock artists are almost always too expensive (over $100k).

So, while throwing out there who you'd like to see, I'm also looking for the "value deal" artists. Some group that rocks, has some fame, we all know of them, but they might not be as much as other big artists.

I'll say this, IF we can raise enough money to go big budget, of course I'd love to do any of the following:

Kid Rock, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Metallica, Ozzy, Aerosmith and more, but I can tell you that they are all a fortune and maybe not that realistic for the smaller shows coming up.

With that being said, throw some other options besides the ones I just listed. I'm looking for a realistic options.

Where's my music people?

Prove to me you guys want a rock show.

Not Great White, they may burn the place down and kill 100 people in the process.

Dwreck 05-09-2007 01:41 PM

Wow I would love to see a rock show this time. Mind you I was blowed away by ice cube.

I think Nin is a good choice.

Im so pumped for this!

Brad 05-09-2007 01:46 PM

Nine Inch Nails would be good. But maybe you will do better to get something a little softer like RHCP or someone like that who will appeal to a broader audience.

SxDx 05-09-2007 01:48 PM

Motley Crue, Godsmack, Foo Fighters, Staind, The Used, Velvet Revolver, Avenged Sevenfold

amongst the value deal bands:
Buckcherry puts on a decent show

I second Death Cab and System of a Down.

Yngwie 05-09-2007 02:06 PM

not everyone knows this band, but I'm sure that they wouldn't charge an arm and a leg. They have a new cd coming out soon.

Excellent choice.

We did them already in Vegas once. Maybe around 2000 or 2001, opening up for the original band members of P-Funk and Ice T hosted it.
