We had members from that group perform with Half Pint, "Dubcat". And we were also one of the first people to book LBDAS for our very first Players Ball in 1999, Vegas. The wrecked my hotel rooms afterwards. |
Oh hey, since I have all of these eye balls looking.
We're about to finish up our summer Players Ball sponsorship packages. Email me if you're interested in the #1 webmaster event of all time. All time. #1. Believe it. :pimp theplayersball at gmail.com |

I second all these choices |
System of a down would be cool, but not possible.. The lead singer will not play another concert no matter how much you pay them... How about Quiet Riot or Scorpions?

Korn would be sick. System of a Down, only if they don't play that one, "Everybodys going to a party have a real good time...." |
Keep the input coming.
I keep sending my booking agent emails every 2 minutes with more and more names for him to get prices on and contact. Hey, on another note. I've decided to build a new brand for a new era of Rock and Roll parties for webmasters. The Players Ball will continue on it's normal course of hip hop style artists. But now, a new party name will be born with rock as the theme. I'm going to post another thread with the new options, get a vote going. So here's your chance to help D$ build another 10 years of events catering to the rock crowd. I'll post the link to the new name options in a second. And if you can think of a better name, go for it. |
Chilli Peppers. But make sure you don't give Anthony Kiedis any free passwords, he'll blow up your servers.

linkin park..would be cool!!:thumbsup :thumbsup

Here's the link to the naming of the new rock event, the next D$ Joint.

OHmigod some of those prices are RIDICULOUS!!!!
Chris Daughtry 100-200k!?!?! Has he even sold that much in albums?? Almost forgot about peaches. She would be pretty interesting and would fit in with the crowd. I think having a chick sing would be pretty hot too. |
OK, here's how I see it.
Keep in mind, I pick artists based on how much I think I can from webmasters to sponsor the event. For the summer shows, it seems like people spend a little less then in January. That being said, I usually set realistic goals based on my measure of interest I get from people to pony up the money. So far, I know I have a few supporters that always show their support, so that tells me I can pull off a party or 2 this summer. If the measure of interest is increased because sponsors are super big fans of the groups, then I can possibly raise more money to afford a bigger name artist. That's how my Players Ball always works. This time, what I see with these prices I can pretty much pull off any of these at these prices. Mickey Avalon $15-25k Ozomotli $15-25k Social Distortion $22.5K + all expenses Tenacious D- $50k Rob Zombie if he?s closer to $60k The Strokes $20k to $25k Queens of the Stone Age $35-50k All of them would be great. For the ones that are priced lower, it leaves me room to add another cheaper artist if the sponsors are stepping up. The Strokes might be the best call, then add another name to the ticket if things are going well. |

I'm making a serious run for Tenacious D right now.
That would be a great way to entertain webmasters while doing a rock show. But I'm looking into all options. Queens of the Stone Age would be dope too. Decisions decisions. I just felt like showing you all what I go through behind close doors everytime I do a party. Look at the prices, figure on what people would like the most. Since it seems more webmasters support rock, let's see if the sponsors step up more for this then the rap parties. If they do, then we all win. |

That would be great. I would come just to hear Regulate as long as Nate Dogg was there for the ride as well. |
What about Marilyn Manson.....he'd fit in
|
I think Tenacious D would be excellent and have another cheap band open it up.
Tenacious D would be enteraining as hell. Fun, loose and good tunes. |

KB and I are friends with his whole camp. I got a credit in one of his documentaries for my behind the scenes footage. He was also a client of my Marketing Firm. And even with all of that, he'd still be around $100k. But I can easily make that happen if sponsors step up. |
social distortion with dropkick murphys opening up
now THAT would be a show |
