Twistys opened it's doors and had it's first sale. 9 years sure does fly by. Everybody told us making a paysite with Jokersx and Matrix content was doomed to fail. We always believed members come first and do whatever it takes to keep them happy. Under promise and over deliver. We learned that first hand from our friends at ATK and Karups.

Not at all. Retention was really good but our original tour was shit. I think we did 1 to 12 signups a day for the first 10 months. We then launched TwistysCash in June 2002 sales were still slow. We were stuck at 20 to 30 sales for 5 months and then everything just exploded. I wish I had a log of what caused the jump. I'd have to research it I don't remember off hand.

Absolutely. I often wonder how long we could have survived on non exclusive content. The main reason we had to go to exclusive was because the non exclusive sellers like Matrix etc were becoming unreliable. They pretty much pushed us to start producing our own content. Probably one of the best things that happened.
