well its like this. I use both TE and TP and both are fine scripts. Both share almost the exact same features. Lets face it all scripts are based off another script. I mean you had UCJ then we get a better performing version after tim flaked called atx. Then atx got more features called TE and TP. Now we have the one from JBM and i bet in the first 2-3 more months of development more feartures will be added to it. Everything is built off of something hadrly nothing to day is origioanl especially in this industry. We are all sheeps following each other

Ive copied ideas many ah time on my sites but ALWAYS did the code and design stuff to be unique. Basically dont see something you like, view source and copy everything over to your site. There is a difference between borrowing an idea and straight up stealing it.

Sounds like this is a case of straight up stealing their code. Bullshit.

Cant wait to see the latest addons and improvements to Trade Pulse to further show JMB how bad they suck. :D

I think this thread is a bit unnecessary. Both JMB and Script Pulse provide great scripts. Every idea starts with another idea. That's why something like a patent exists in this world, to prevent your original idea to be copied, stolen or modified. I can guarantee you that the source hasn't been randomly copied, but yes TradeX was "created" while looking at other "examples", but that doesn't make Jeremy a thief. In fact, Jeremy is a great guy, and his support and development is A1+.

I am quite sure that he won't just copy every feature TradePulse has, but every new creation starts somewhere with a similar idea. Really guys, both Trade Pulse and TradeX are great scripts, just as the developpers of Script Pulse / dlXer and JMBsoft are great guys.

I support both Script Pulse and JMBsoft and don't label one as "the good one" and the other one as "the bad one". The world isn't black and white only either. When they created the first car in the world, it was extremely expensive and original. Nowadays however, there are milions of diffrent cars, going for 1/100th of the price they were 200 years ago. Time goes by, new products get developped and nothing on the internet (and real life) is original anymore.

So yeah, in a way I understand your frustration Ip0li, but at the same time, I understand JMBsoft and Jeremy. As I said before, both of you are great people, and you both develops great scrips.

In your place, I would feel honored. Your trade script IS the best and most advanced one to date. And let's face it, when you develop a new product, you would want to look at the best existing one before you start anything to get a general idea of what you have to compete to, right?

Anyway, both Script Pulse and JMBsoft earned my respect, and TradeX does not change that. Keep up the good work, both of you.

PS: the best competition is to continue to develop your script, and make it better than anything else and stay ahead of others. But I guess, you also figured that out already.

As a script developer i can fairly say we get our inspiration from other products, but we would never ever do a shameless copy paste just to cut development time which seems to be the case here.
It's easy to stop using your own creativity and release something that you know comes closest to the competition and than release it for a super low price. To be honest there is nothing here to be "honored" about by the Script Pulse team.
Of course i am aware that a trade script isn't something new but the authors creativity sets things apart and it just sucks if people take your creativity and use it without any improvement on their part.

I would be sick if anyone would copy paste Smart Tube Pro and make a clone, let's be honest about that.

Anyway, i do respect JMBSOFT for many years now as they make great products and have always supported them by buying their products and i will continue to do so if they have anything better than what we make ourself

And Ipoli, unless you patent your work this will always happen to the best. TP is used as a benchmark and blueprint because people know it's successful, it sucks but there is not much you can do about it other than to stay on top of the game and innovate.

JMBsoft wrote the script code from the ground up, they just included the popular features that most scripts use.

Godsmack Confirmed User Industry Role: Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: The Netherlands Posts: 4,525	As a script developer i can fairly say we get our inspiration from other products, but we would never ever do a shameless copy paste just to cut development time which seems to be the case here. It's easy to stop using your own creativity and release something that you know comes closest to the competition and than release it for a super low price. To be honest there is nothing here to be "honored" about by the Script Pulse team. Of course i am aware that a trade script isn't something new but the authors creativity sets things apart and it just sucks if people take your creativity and use it without any improvement on their part. I would be sick if anyone would copy paste Smart Tube Pro and make a clone, let's be honest about that. Anyway, i do respect JMBSOFT for many years now as they make great products and have always supported them by buying their products and i will continue to do so if they have anything better than what we make ourself And Ipoli, unless you patent your work this will always happen to the best. Like I said, I understand your frustration, because a new competitor for your product is never fun sales-wise. However, there is indeed not much you can do, and no crime has been done.
