:stop Sponsors supporting hotlinkers - R U NUTS ?

http://www.thepornspider.com/main.ph...By=&searchVal=

Guys, have fun and check out which sponsors support SHIT LIKE THAT.

Would be great to see what sponsors have to say about this ?
IMHO, they make themselves as good as responsible to fraud (theft of services) by paying out revenues to sites like that.

So what, are we gonna see some change about this topic or do you sponsors still prefer to close your eyes as long as you get money THIS way ?

Sponsors and hosting companies are THE FIRST FRONT for stopping Hotlinkers, yet they DON'T lift their fingers...

This is just LAME.

Michael

"Spam Splash page finished, use this linking code."

I hate to burst your bubble michael but do you really think sponsors pay attention to the goings on of TGPers?

If you've got a problem with someone running a sponsors ads, drop the sponsor an email. Don't expect them to be looking out for *your* problems.

Yeah, a sponsor can't be responsible for this if they do not know about it.

This reminds me of a time I contacted a sponsor who had an affiliate using hotlinkpics from AP linked to the sponsor, and they didn't give a shit. I told them about it, and they didn't care. At this point, I am not sure if the sponsor is responsible for doing something or not... I guess it's not their site, but they should have at least sent the guy a warning. I also emailed AP about it, of course. I don't know what ever happened to the guy...

You wont burst my bubble 12Clicks, since i'm fully hotlink protected.

And yes, sponsors if they are a tiny bit concerned about the (futur) going on of the adult industry (i read somewhere that tgps are their biggest revenue ressource... thus thieves in form of hotlinkers should concern them) should look forward about the technical and financial damages caused by hotlinkers to THEIR affiliates as well...

Because, logically, what does a sponsor profit from an hotlinked affiliate if he gets hotlinked that much, that he won't be able to do business for long ? And this because some other affiliate made profit and stole from others ?

And we don't even talk about content theft - closely bound to bandwidth theft.

YES, sponsors SHOULD take care of who promotes them with what. Finally, i scale hotlinkers as high as spammers because of the tremendous technical AND financial damages caused by hotlinkers.

"Yeah, a sponsor can't be responsible for this if they do not know about it."

At the url example above, it's not obvious at all, what is going on, right ?

That's the point. A lot of problems could be solved if the sponsors as being the very first (and only) revenue stream would cut down on cheaters like that. But unfortunatelly i realize it won't happen, since it's all about the Bling Bling.

TGPs just happen to be where surfers accumulate now. If TGPs go away, the traffic won't. That said, sponsors aren't worried about their future.

Bandwidth is cheap, a properly run operation won't be hotlinked, and there are bigger problems a sponsor has to deal with.

uh, I'm pretty sure I said to send a sponsor an email. Your average TGPer is little more than a porn surfer who's figured out how to make a little money. They surf all day and find this shit. Sponsors are busy running a business and rarely have time to surf.

Then you should have no problem with dropping a sponsor an email. its the least you can do.

Precisely, that's why you'll see plenty of sponsors unknowingly let their "free hosted" files being hotlinked, even if they're used for other promotion purposes. Content theft is very close to bandwidth theft ; at least about content theft, things happen, but about bandwidth theft (which is theft of services), not yet.

I realize they are busy running a business, but what kind of business is it to actively/passively pay cheaters/hotlinkers/spammers ?

No worries, i DO my homework, but most don't which is the problem, or sponsors don't seem (as also Juge could state) to react on single requests. Without team effort, no big change ; it's as simple as that.
