Hey guys,

I'm looking for base quotes as well as someone to hire for this project. They don't have to be able to design either, I can get the site designed elsewhere under whatever specifications.

Basically,

I want a tube site, but without the bandwidth costs. So I'm looking for either a simple scraper solution or a really good sponsor hosted solution. Either way, I don't want the surfers to be able to tell much of a difference other than maybe some shorter videos.

To me, design and layout has a lot to do with immediate successes, as well as good content and a viable search.

Again, I can get an incredibly sharp design done somewhere else, so this isn't something that you have to be able to do. But what I do need you to do is the following:

1. Figure out the easiest solution in terms of creating and maintaining.

2. Teach me the basics along the way, so as after you leave I will have no problem maintaining myself. I'm not a stupid man, but I've dealt with the traffic/ads/sales aspect more than any other, so I'm a bit in the dark on programming/coding/installing scripts, etc. But a good once over and a few questions I should be able to absorb it.

3. Going to need someone who is a reasonable person who doesn't mind answering some questions and holding my hand from beginning to end. Odds are if your good at what you do you will retain me as a customer for life, once trust is built.

4. At the end of the day, we need to have a tube site that rivals any other of our kind. Naturally we cant compete with the big boys, but we can still build a profitable, viable site for the long term.

5. Input in terms of programs and sponsors is welcome, I have dealt in webcams for the majority of my good earning days, so I don't have much experience in terms of movies/programs, and have zero experience with revshare.

I'm a reasonable guy, who is willing to pay fairly. That's not to say I want to overpay, although if a project is done to my satisfaction and detail, I do like to juice you up with large tip.

Bottom line,

I'm looking to build something sound from the ground up that is cheap and simple to maintain. Something that is well designed and not wasteful, monetized properly, aligned with the best programs using optimum payouts be it pps or revshare. I wont be selling adspace, rather using it for myself.

There are a lot of smart people on this board, who have learned many things the past 12 months. I'm sure there is someone here who is perfect for the job who wouldn't mind some extra money. Someone who knows the correct choices from beginning to end, and who can project it's performance in the future to have a good idea on what to expect.

I admit, this is not my area. I deal in traffic/sales/ads. I've always been able to make money from my pitch innovations, but things are getting tight and I am wasting a lot of traffic but not having a proper dump site.

I'm not cheap, but I don't want to be ripped off in any way shape or form. Again, if I'm happy with what we did.. whether your ask for it or not I will leave a large tip above our agreed price.

If you're looking to have sponsor-hosted videos try Tube Ace. Tube Ace allows for easy video importing via dump files and XML feeds. I can also have an awesome custom theme created for you.

What risk?

It's not like they aren't getting paid or something. Just looking for someone to build a non-hosted tube site, be it sponsor hosted or scraped. Lots of people have knowledge in this area that don't own tube sites.

My experiences, I don't know how you'll be able to scrape sponsor content unless there is an easy system to access to grab all info needed... But to scrape other sites it shouldn't be hard and is just a little bit of special coding for each site you want scraped.

I can write a class that will scrape any site you want, of course you can't just throw a url at it and it can scrape it, each site will have special code in the class for it, so before being built it will need a list of sites to scrape.

But it's hard to truly tell you the extent and how much it would cost until I knew all that is wanted feature wise... But scraping isn't hard.

For the class, and probably 6 sites will run about $700.

To have a 100% fully custom site built around the class with all the features of a tube site, will cost roughly $1500 to $2000.

All jokes aside,

I gave this chick $200 down on a $400 3/4 page project,

and she literally waited until the deadline.. took 15 minute whipping up some utter garbage and tried to present it to me.

When I chose examples from her OWN work to duplicate for the job, she returned nothing of the sort. She didn't pay attention to a fucking detail I said.

Honestly, the absolute worst designer I've ever experienced on GFY, and I've been through about 15 or so.

She was lazy, ignorant, and only took literally 20 minutes max for a horrible piece of shit I could have whipped up 10 years ago.

Beware. I got the impression she was trusted, but apparently she does a good job flying under the radar with her shitty work.

I guess I was just more focused on simplicity and keeping it easy to maintain.

I don't mind suffering the quality of video or length of video a bit, I can make up for this with the content in the video and the design of the site.

Right now I have 0 traffic dumps, and am burning through traffic at a retarded rate without fully monetizing.

Whatever model I go with, it can only help.

it's not really a "video quality" issue either, I suggest you go visit a number of sites that use sponsor hosted videos and then visit some of the good self hosted sites and run them through their paces to get a feel for the difference from the perspective of a user
