I'm looking for base quotes as well as someone to hire for this project. They don't have to be able to design either, I can get the site designed elsewhere under whatever specifications.
Basically,
I want a tube site, but without the bandwidth costs. So I'm looking for either a simple scraper solution or a really good sponsor hosted solution. Either way, I don't want the surfers to be able to tell much of a difference other than maybe some shorter videos.
To me, design and layout has a lot to do with immediate successes, as well as good content and a viable search.
Again, I can get an incredibly sharp design done somewhere else, so this isn't something that you have to be able to do. But what I do need you to do is the following:
1. Figure out the easiest solution in terms of creating and maintaining.
2. Teach me the basics along the way, so as after you leave I will have no problem maintaining myself. I'm not a stupid man, but I've dealt with the traffic/ads/sales aspect more than any other, so I'm a bit in the dark on programming/coding/installing scripts, etc. But a good once over and a few questions I should be able to absorb it.
3. Going to need someone who is a reasonable person who doesn't mind answering some questions and holding my hand from beginning to end. Odds are if your good at what you do you will retain me as a customer for life, once trust is built.
4. At the end of the day, we need to have a tube site that rivals any other of our kind. Naturally we cant compete with the big boys, but we can still build a profitable, viable site for the long term.
5. Input in terms of programs and sponsors is welcome, I have dealt in webcams for the majority of my good earning days, so I don't have much experience in terms of movies/programs, and have zero experience with revshare.
I'm a reasonable guy, who is willing to pay fairly. That's not to say I want to overpay, although if a project is done to my satisfaction and detail, I do like to juice you up with large tip.
Bottom line,
I'm looking to build something sound from the ground up that is cheap and simple to maintain. Something that is well designed and not wasteful, monetized properly, aligned with the best programs using optimum payouts be it pps or revshare. I wont be selling adspace, rather using it for myself.
There are a lot of smart people on this board, who have learned many things the past 12 months. I'm sure there is someone here who is perfect for the job who wouldn't mind some extra money. Someone who knows the correct choices from beginning to end, and who can project it's performance in the future to have a good idea on what to expect.
I admit, this is not my area. I deal in traffic/sales/ads. I've always been able to make money from my pitch innovations, but things are getting tight and I am wasting a lot of traffic but not having a proper dump site.
