I hope you ended up having a good christmas rrred!!!! I ended up cooking for 8, people that didn't have any family and no other plans! Helping others deal with the holidays, always helps! ;) I haven't talked to you in ages! I hope you are doing ok, and had a great christmas babe!

We made it! Only one overwhelming burst of tears when I first sat down at the table and there was an empty spot at the opposite end of the table as my dad, where Taylor would always sit. I lost it to the point I almost threw up... but other than that, my daughter and I had a nice relaxing time. I dunno if this is ever gonna be easier but we're only at 19 months. I have heard from others that the second year is even worse than the first and I totally get it now. It's like now my brain can process everything where last year I was in shock and my brain wouldn't work properly for shit.

Thank God it's over and we got home safely. The snow up here is crazy and we watched some dudes car flip around and off the highway when he hit some black ice. We've been praying for all the drivers tonight cuz it's really unusually shitty driving conditions. I'd hate for anyone elses Christmas day to be permanently ruined for years to come.

I like your idea about cooking for others who don't have family around. I hope to get the energy to do more things like that in the future. I miss you girl. Hope we can talk soon. It's been forever.

That happened to me too, the neices and nephews went to be with their moms and the ex-gf went to be with HER mom, and my friends all left LV to be with their family. Got lots of good wishes but didn't get to spend the day with loved ones, poor me...

Lots of people in the world spending xmas alone because they don't HAVE any loved ones, so I guess I'm pretty lucky in the grand scheme of things.

OK, I'm a few days late, but.....4th year in a row for me after 43 years of having at least SOMEONE and 20 years of having my most important someone. I'm invited places, but that night I'm not in the best of moods. I NEED to be by myself.

I watched A Christmas Story about 4 times, cooked, wrapped, cried and got ready for Christmas. Got up early and spent 14+ hours of Christmas with friends and family which I LOVED. One of our friends is (was) pregnant and was induced that night so the 3 of us with Dec. birthdays were giving her lectures on what not to do with a Christmas kid (she was born at 6:15 last night).

There was so much drama leading up to Christmas with my brother deciding we weren't doing enough for his kids that I channeled a lot of bad emotions into being ticked at him He realized he had overreacted and all was good. But it took my mind off the planning during the week.

I no longer decorate my house. Nothing. But travel between several houses on Christmas, having pre and post Christmas dinners out with friends, and next year we're planning to have Christmas somewhere there's snow - and I love getting all the pictures of my friends and their kids!! My fridge is always full of magnets and pics.

I would love to tell you it gets better, but I swear it's like it's 2005 all over again.
