My 5th grade teacher let me copy Wheel of Fortune, then I played the hell out of that. I guess she never saw the Don't Copy that Floppy announcement.
I had all those game show games for my Apple IIe. I remember playing the heck out of Family Feud. Then there were the Winter and Summer Games.

It was not the first game I played but it was the first that made a lasting impression...

Did anyone here ever play Krull on their PC? The game was as cheesy as the movie but was fun as hell.

The first EVER was sticky bear, which I played in like 1st grade computer class.

The first game I ever enjoyed playing was Oregon Trail or Pitfall. Maybe the repetitive Kung Fu game.

The first game I REALLY got into was Duke Nukem 3d. I loved that game.

I loved that game. My brother and I finished it on the C-64. We actually had hooked up our C-64 to the VCR so we could tape the game play for making notes and stuff about where things were. Yeah I know, ubergeek.

Bubble Bobble and Ultima IV on my Amiga 500. I remember paying almost $1000 at the time for an extra 1/2 megabyte of memory and a 20 mb hard drive!
I played those games for days and days...and then I discovered Sim City. I lost weeks at a time to it.

Not sure if it was the first but close was the original Sim City or maybe F16 Falcon (black & white). M1 Tank Platoon by Microprose, wore out the 5 1/4 inch floppies on that one.

Where in Time was the hardest of the Carmen Sandiego games but I enjoyed it. Well, there was the Where in Space one but I had moved on by then. I directly attribute those games for the love of research I have as an adult. How many games could come with reference books now and get kids glued?

On the Oregon Trail line..my mom also used to bring one home from her school that was called Deer something..maybe Deer Lake? You had to protect deer in the wild or something like that and sometimes you had to decide to shoot them or not. I remember being traumatized for a good half hour about having to make that choice.

I think I still have the book that came with that game somewhere... I remember it being THICK.

I never played Where In Space, but I probably would've loved it even more.

This is making me want to get my hands on a copy and play it again!

I loved the names of the criminals.
