This is an age old question I have seen asked more times than I have been asked by you guys to see my tits, and I'd like to touch on this a bit, maybe even rant a bit if you will allow me to do so.

Which sites convert the best is a very wide ranged question with a not so simple answer to some people. Which sites convert best for ME is a better question and only you can answer this question and you do this by trial and error. You can't come in and ask a question about how it converts for someone else because it won't always convert best for one as it does for another. For example, I can take a site that someone else has converted at some insane ratio of 1:50 or something and run it myself and it may or may not convert the same based on MY OWN marketing abilities or my style of promoting the sites. Mine may convert better or it may not convert at ALL!

Now, you would be better off coming in here and asking which sponsors are more reliable, which ones will treat me best, which ones will pay me on time, which ones will go above and beyond to help me if I need help to convert their sites/programs the best way I can based on my traffic?

If you have a company that can answer and DO all of those things with you then you are good and your conversions will far outweigh trying to promote something the next guy is making a killing from..... you will be converting YOUR traffic the best way you can based on your OWN traffic and your OWN style. Styles are almost like fingerprints, each person has a different style and a different method to what works for them.

I am talking to you as a Rep AND as a webmaster, I have been and AM both. Myself? I can't convert a teen site to save my life, never have been able to in the 10 years I have been in this industry, so for me to come in here and ask which ones convert best is like shooting mysef in my own foot, because I know coming in that I can't convert it.... now give me just about any other niche out there and I can at least SOMEWHAT convert it, but not teens. I can HELP people and TEACH them, but I can't do it myself. Sounds funny, right? I know it does, but it is the god's honest truth. Take the Sologirl/Teen market for example, I have taught MANY MANY how to convert it, what the surfers want/expect in this area, but if I make a Sologirl Site, it wouldn't convert for ME worth a damn, but some of the ones I have helped to do this convert at as low as 1:50+, which is insane to me.... and I have to laugh because I can teach but I cannot do. lol

So bottom line, look for Sponsors willing to work with you, willing to sit down with you and willing to go above and beyond for and with you to help you convert your traffic BEFORE you come in and bash a sponsor and blame them because you don't convert THEIR sites as well as others...... what works for some may not work for you. Don't b e afraid to sit down with your Reps and talk to them, ANY Rep worth his weight will be willing to do this and if they are not then move on and don't use their programs again, it's that simple. We work for YOU, not vice versa, we are here to help YOU, and if we aren't then we don't deserve your time and we certainly don't deserve your business.

I am speaking as a rep, but also as a webmaster because I am and have been both for 10 years and this is one area I see that most drives me insane.... working TOGETHER is the only way to do GOOD business, so please keep this in mind. And please don't take this as me trying to promote anything, the ONLY thing I am promoting is GOOD COMMUNICATION between you and your sponsors/affiliates!!

Reps, DO YOUR JOBS, if they need help you cannot give them, then send them to someone that CAN give the the expert help that YOU don't exactly understand and then go and learn what they need so the next person that comes along with the same question, you will be able to better help them. Don't be afraid to say "I don't know", that affiliate is your gold, treat them as such!!

Affiliates, TALK TO YOUR SPONSORS!! How are they supposed to know you are having trouble if you don't communicate with them? They may have answers to your problems that may help you with your situation, since all of our situations are different.

COMMUNICATION IS KEY... and without it, we all may as well go back to bed and forget about making money together. ;) Call me crazy, but don't tell me I am wrong here, because I know I am not.

I'll be hopping off my soapbox now. lol

Oh yeah, and now...... sponsors, do what you came in here thinking you can do. Tell me and others WHY they should use your programs? But don't bullshit us, don't say you are here to help them if you are not willing to miss a meal if needbe, or you are afraid you will miss a party..... don't tell them to contact you unless you are willing to take the time for them. And affiliates, don't contact your sponsors if you aren't willing to HONESTLY give them a shot and listen to what they have to say to you.

This brings another question to mind....... Sponsors, if you don't have what an affiliate is looking for, are you willing to send them to another program that DOES, or are you more likely to try and get them to promote your sites even if they don't have the kind of traffic that would suit any site you have on your list?

Nope, if you have traffic interested in glamour or lightspeed's style of teen site or solo models, etc... I have some programs I can highly recommend to you.
I'd hate for you to waste good traffic on our niche products.

We can not offer as higher percentages as other Affiliate Pro. do.

But on our affiliate Pro. U would be sure that if u send quality traffic this would convert.

Our best affiliates convert 1:4 - 1:6 - 1:44

This is hard to believe but theres a logical and truth reason to it:
*Cam Sites convert this days best
*Our site is very New
*Our Niche is Unique (Colombian Girls)
*We have exclusiv Models

And most important, is easyer to promote an Unknown Unsaturated site, than one that everybody is promoting. Because theres very big probability that u waste ur traffic on the sites that ur visitors allready know or allready members from.

U wanted an honest answer without BULLSHIT this is it

Yes I did and I respect and appreciate your honesty and being upfront about certain things, like not paying as much and things like that. I TOTALLY respect honesty..

BUT, let me ask you this. And I know what you mean, I feel the same way in some cases.... but....

when you have a popular site that is converting very well, and I am playing devil's advocate if you will here, wouldn't the average webmaster who knows how to work the search engines feel more comfortable promoting that popular site as opposed to the ones that are NOT so popular? Wouldn't the average surfer be more looking for those popular sites? Therefore making the ones that know their SE being better able to work that popular site?

I totally get what you are saying, and for me, myself and probably a few others, would prefer those less travelled places, to get a jump on those that will come along and pick them up after they are popular. lol But some prefer the more travelled roads. If I can do SE well, which I kind of do, I would opt for the more populated sites.

Like I said, to each his own in his own style.

Why not do both, and find out what works out best for you ?

There are so many niches... too many to handle for a single person...

I am willing to reveal my 1:40 techniques for the people who signup under me, as long as you stay out of my own niches! Most SE related stuff I do is ultra-targetted, which means that I find the smallest possible (micro) communities on the net for my niche. That's about all I want to reveal by now. If anyone has questions, feel free to hit me up on ICQ.

Looks like you have been misinformed, my friend, I left when the shaving started and none of you would have known about this had I not been the one to out them on this fact. I refused to promote or condone it and was terminated because of this. I didn't own it, I worked for the idiot that did... and I was gone when I got wind of it.

I do not and WILL not condone or promote shaving even for a minute. And NO amount of money can force my hand on that. If I found out hahaha was shaving today, I'd be on that same boat again tomorrow.... and hahaha knows this.. as do the rest of the team..... and I have the access to see this if it were happening. Thank god it isn't, as hahaha is much more decent and respectable than to pull something like this even for a minute, because I love the "Family" I work for and support.

Great advice Tam, couldn't have put it better.

REPS: Going beyond the call of duty is key for affiliate reps, going to any lengths to help an affiliate succeed with your programs, providing them with the tools they need to do well. Listen and keep open lines of communication.

AFFS: Don't be afraid to ask questions (even if you think it's a stupid one), make some damn noise, and communicate with your aff rep. What can we (affiliate reps) do to make your day better? What are the tools that you need? Whats working, whats not working?

EXACTLY!!! We can't know what's working for them if they do not tell us. Some of us are in the trenches too, but it isn't our MAIN job, so we need to know these things, it's crucial.

As an affiliate I've always done best with microniche sites that interested me personally and that's what I tell everyone that asks. While I'd love all the big affiliates to try promoting our paysites I know many won't want to and not understand the niche so for them it may not be the best fit. However if they are curious and want to try them we are more than willing to give advice and feedback as well as provide any specific tools they might need. Hell my affiliate manager will call you up and talk one on one about anything you want!

One of the things that I see about popular versus Unpopular is that it could simply be the : Crowd " People on this board tend to follow the crowd, and often good converting sites get left behind because the crowd is promoting a different niche. So...

Very good point..... and I find that to be true so many times.

Heron, you have helped me in the past, quite a bit in fact, so I can well attest to the fact that you are willing to sit down with people and go the extra mile it takes to make yourself and your affiliates more successful.

And I am the same way, if someone wants to talk to me on the phone, I am right there and always have been.... it takes what it takes and if a simple phone call will help someone, then I am all about that too.

It DOES matter that you send the right kind of traffic to convert these programs too. I have seen people trying to sell teens on milf sites and wonder why their ratios are like 0:3500.... targeting the correct traffic to the correct sites is as crucial as anything else in this industry.

To ur question i must answer YES the normal affiliate would joust simply follow the crowd.
And the normal Newbie affiliate also thinks that because somebody here with a "referal link" gives some advice that this is 100% true and good meant.
But u know and I know better.

Also i never said our CamSite its best - U asked about conversions.
And if u prefer a "Popular" site that converts 1:450 over an "Unknown" site that might convert 1:44 well feel FREE u do the math.

About u having some "Popular" sites that convert very well and why change .... well I also would not do that if it was my case, stick up with what works for u and as long as it does then be happy.

But if u have some traffic left in the latin niche then why not give it a try

There are so many niches... too many to handle for a single person... I am willing to reveal my 1:40 techniques for the people who signup under me, as long as you stay out of my own niches! Most SE related stuff I do is ultra-targetted, which means that I find the smallest possible (micro) communities on the net for my niche. That's about all I want to reveal by now. While I'd love all the big affiliates to try promoting our paysites I know many won't want to and not understand the niche so for them it may not be the best fit. However if they are curious and want to try them we are more than willing to give advice and feedback as well as provide any specific tools they might need. Hell my affiliate manager will call you up and talk one on one about anything you want!
