when you have a popular site that is converting very well, and I am playing devil's advocate if you will here, wouldn't the average webmaster who knows how to work the search engines feel more comfortable promoting that popular site as opposed to the ones that are NOT so popular? Wouldn't the average surfer be more looking for those popular sites? Therefore making the ones that know their SE being better able to work that popular site?
I totally get what you are saying, and for me, myself and probably a few others, would prefer those less travelled places, to get a jump on those that will come along and pick them up after they are popular. lol But some prefer the more travelled roads. If I can do SE well, which I kind of do, I would opt for the more populated sites.

To ur question i must answer YES the normal affiliate would joust simply follow the crowd.
And the normal Newbie affiliate also thinks that because somebody here with a "referal link" gives some advice that this is 100% true and good meant.
But u know and I know better.
Also i never said our CamSite its best - U asked about conversions.
And if u prefer a "Popular" site that converts 1:450 over an "Unknown" site that might convert 1:44 well feel FREE u do the math.
About u having some "Popular" sites that convert very well and why change .... well I also would not do that if it was my case, stick up with what works for u and as long as it does then be happy.
But if u have some traffic left in the latin niche then why not give it a try
