blah. With all of my "cool runnings" I have never been in jail before in my life. Jail is used as a form of repression and not rehabilitation. Fact: a lot of produce and furniture is made in prison for pennies on a dollar and sold wholesale. I refuse to become cheap labor of the "man" |

Bullshit. News is news, the camera don't lie. Newspeople are bound and mandated to report on what they see, and on the facts. If what they report proves later to be false or misleading, they lose all credibility..... so news is news. Period. It has to be. What makes you think EU news contains less bias reporting and propoganda? |

Sure there were SOME people happy about the 911 in London and around the world. Aren't you happy when a muslim is killed? American AND muslim haters are dumbass. But I would say that muslims have more reasons to dislike americans than the other way around. |

For the CNN bashers: Turn into CNN Europe now, Rumsfeld is being given a hard time by a CNN journalist. He keeps confronting Rumsfeld with European objections to a strike on Iraq and other things... CNN is not without bias, but noone is - Its my favorite channel, followed by BBC World, that's for sure. |

Politic would learn you a lot about "news are what you want them to be". Do you really think Bush wants to attack Iraq because Saddam isn't a good boy? News show off what is shocking and leave the rest. Especially in USA, where reality shows have huge success. Quote:

Sorry, I don't own a Renault Clio - I am sure they are nice cars though. My Mercedes is running fine, thank you for asking. Kind regards, John |

Say there are 10,000 people demonstrating against the United States. 9,500 are doing so peacefully, but 500 are burning the US flag, dressing up in suicide bomber outfits and waving guns in the air. In order to lie with his camera, all the cameraman has to do to lie is keep his shots tightly focued on the worst excesses of those 500 people and ignore anything else, creating the impression that all the demonstrators were wild eyed nutcases. Same with "the news." You can report the facts and still lie, in much the same way as the hypothetical camera man, if you report some facts while studiously ignoring others. That said, I wish my examples were more than hypothetical. As Colin has pointed out, polls of the citizenry in middle eastern nations consistently show overwhelming support for terrorism. |

Renault Clio yes they must be great, they are french cars after all right LOL
And only Mercedes you drive is A class LOL Same shit like Clio |
Bah. In your example, it's not the camera that's lying, it's the idiot holding it being narrow and selective.
And big deal, I never said reporting wasn't biased, my point is that news is news. It isn't better or more reliable in Europe than it is in the USA or Canada. Why? Because, as I said already, reporters whose work is found to be consistently biased and slanted are simply regarded as big jokes after a while, not to be taken seriously. Can you think of any "sensationalistic" reporters that fit this category? |
