This is a tough one.

What would I do if I would find that shit on my son's pc. Probably try to kill him myself. Make him destroy it. Have him put into a phycho ward, shrink, made sure he is never around kids.. Watch him like a hawk.

I don't know if I would turn him in. I really don't know, this is tough. However I probably would have not turned him in instead I would probably try helping him with the above means.

Jail is not going to help this guy. He is probably not going to make it longer than 1 hour in jail before he will be dead. ( I heard what they do to guys like that, I watch TV)

Yeah, that's probably the route I would have went. Now, if after doing all this for him I would still found pictures like that on him, yeah, than I probably would have turned him in.

Looking back on him now he is fine and he has told me he regrets dearly looking at those images as he can't get them 100% out of his head. I know the feeling, I hate seeing gore photos (even a glimpse as I can't get the damn images out of my head for days). They make me feel sick.

I do not believe my friend deserved to be shot for what he did, I do not believe he committed a serious enough crime to deserve the same jail time as a Drunk driver who kills or maims somone for life. My friend DID NOT indirectly RAPE any children, he did not help rape any children and if he wasn't there to download those images those children would still of been raped. If there was zero demand for child porn images on the net and the rapist had noone to trade images with THOSE CHILDREN STILL WOULD OF BEEN RAPED.
