Probilling?
Did any Canadians switch to these guys?
I am going to try a quick test on probilling, globill and acpay if possible over the next little while. It would be great if it worked out with any of these billers or if it was at least possible to use them until Ibill or CCBill could do Canada. I am worried that registering my URL's with a USA presence now would prevent me from using a legal Canadian solution with the same IPSP in future. I am unable to get any comment on this from IBill, or any comment on whether or not they will send cheques outside of the USA at all. I know globill has it's fans here, but is anyone using the others yet? |

Shoplifter: Any news on probilling to share? Were you able to test them? I saw their joinpage today and findit to look a little "unprofessional" :/ Check it out: https://www.probilling.com/pos/index.cfm?pon=1025884 Any info/experiences on them is welcome. |

Their lack of a testing enviroment is a bit...umm...bothersome when you're trying to write support into your affil program. Their transaction page says the transaction will take 5-10 mins which i think might be a bit too much but so far their support has been decent and i look forward to actually testing them! |

I am also interested in results with them and I agree with Madball, their mastercard/visa selection on the joinpage might cause some surfers to hit the backbutton or leave.
Do they offer ACH/Checks as well ?

We do some processing with probilling and they seem fine.. no problems! Plus they are a few % less on costs.. something like 9.5% on cards and 3% on NetTeller transactions...

It bewilders me that you people will just jump at any chance not to pay the Visa/Masrtercard registration fees. Not to be rude but how can you trust your finances to an unproven company? Why not take control, get a merchant account and process with a company that is proven and will take care of you, not jump from IPSP to IPSP and risk losing your business.
"Go signup for Joebilling - No Visa fees and we charge only 2%". When Visa comes after us or we lose our merchant account or get fined by Visa, we will just use another name, kill all of the webmasters rebilling and keep all of the $$$." Come on people.... do your businesses really mean that little to you? Mitch

Very Simple Mitch:
As Canadian, we cannot register, so cannot pay... Can't be simpler than that. Thinking of establishing a presence in Iraq or North Korea .... BTW, I had contacted you about a year ago for a merchant account. You emailed once or twice, then no more news. That could be also another reason. I use 2 processors for hardgoods sales ( 4 sites) , and Ibill ( not anymore) and Globill for members on one site, plus a new to open. Chargebacks and refund: 0.021 %. A little funny thing: If you think Ibill sucks, you are not alone... Ibill thinks that too. The domain Ibillsucks.com ( .net & org) belongs to: Registrant: Internet Billing Company LLC (IBILLSUCKS-DOM) 5701 N Pine Island Road, Suite 240 Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33321 US Domain Name: IBILLSUCKS.COM Administrative Contact, Technical Contact: Administrator, Domain (DAO460) [email protected] Internet Billing Company, Ltd 5701 Pine Island Road, Suite 240 Tamarac, FL 33321 US 954-718-3000 954-724-2801 Record expires on 27-Jul-2003. Record created on 28-Jul-1998. Database last updated on 24-Oct-2002 00:05:55 EDT. Domain servers in listed order: NS01.IBILL.COM 208.239.126.16 NS02.IBILL.COM 208.239.126.17 ========================================== They know they suck.... I just took ibillsucks.info. Will be putting up a bulletin board. Also, if you do not register with Ibill, you will be put on "a no pay" list! They will not pay you starting from yesterday... They will keep the money, just like good crooks they are.... So Mitch, what should I choose: A confirmed crook ( Ibill ) or a possible crook????? ......... ![]() |

Mitch, getting your own merchant account just does not make sense for everyone. For some of us, the $750 US and a possible $1000 for Mastercard is too much of a hit to continue. "Jumping from IPSP to IPSP" is our only option. Additionally, we are not all in the US...and there seems to be a great deal of uncertainty regarding non-US webmasters. Bottom line, as much as it bewilders you, try to see it from someone else's POV. OK?

Well the next pay period is Nov 1 and I doubt they will pay anyone who is not registered after that. I have no idea actually, I think you should post your source.

Here is the actual test from their main page: beginning of message ==========> VISA Regulations Dear iBill Client: Last week you should have received your iBill-Visa registration announcement. All clients are required to complete this registration process by Visa and our acquirer. Per the announcement, registration is to be complete by Wednesday, October 23rd. Failure to complete the registration process will result in your account being placed on do not pay. If for some reason you have been unable to access your registration form, please contact your iBill account manager or our client service team at [email protected] or call us at 866.424.5557 (US)/ 954-363-4931 (International). We appreciate your time and effort in completing the registration form. Thank You. The iBill Team <<<<<<<<<======== end of message Pretty clear..... I also heard that visa will be terminating all sites that have certain words ( teen, rape, lolita, babyface, etc...) in their url... Not surprising!!! They just have to run a search on their fresh database of url's supplied by the processors... Welcome to your nightmare.... |

read this line of text from inside their webmasters section: "Failure to complete the registration process will result in your account being placed on do not pay. " You probably don't have access to inside the Ibill cmi, so to you it is rumors...it isn't.... |

I won't even consider Netbilling unless you guys offer an affiliate program for webmasters. C'mon, this is not a huge investment, and will bring you additional business. You guys KNOW this is mandatory for many paysites who don't wanna run it by themselves. |

Madball & others,
Just to clear it up, we have been in business longer than Paypal and are in no way associated with Probilling. Many, many of our merchants run affiliate programs. The reason we have not put ours in place is that many webmasters want custom interfaces and features. So, we have many great affiliate programs that work with our system, depending on your budget and needs, including affiliatetracking.net, clickcash.com, x3scripts.com, MAP2 (soon) and so many more. Our processing system is extremely flexible to integrate with. We have many merchants who are in Canada and throghout the world. If you cannot affird to pay the registration fees, I am sorry to hear that. I firmly believe all merchants will be required to pay the fees eventually, regardless of if you are with a US company or not. If you can afford the registration fees, we have a great solution and can help you establish a domestic or offshore merchant account to use with our system. For example, for $1500 we can help you setup a European corp and merchant account. You will surely make the fees back in saved transaction fees in no time. Anyone in any part of the world can use this offshore option, even from Canada. If you are in the US, we can help you establish a US account. Once you have a merchant account, it is yours and can be used with any processor wiothout having to re-register. Not that you would ever want to leave Netbilling, but you could if you wanted. Please let me know if you are interested in seeing our great processing system. I will be happy to arrange a 1-on-1 walkthrough. p.s. Even if you process checks only with Netbilling, you will save big $$$. Caompare our prices to what you pay now. Thanks, Mitch Netbilling

Some sort of default affiliate system would be good, I would probably have to hire someone to supervise this otherwise. Once the storm is over, if it is ever over, I will give you a call. |

Madball:
*From what I understand, Probilling is the same people running Netbilling (a Paypal clone) for a considerable time. So it seems they are not (entirely) run by 2 kids in a garage. * You are right - I know probilling as more than just a domain name and they don't run out of a garage *g* They have pretty smart banking relationships internationally. By the way, their cash transactor is NetTeller (not NetBilling). |

Yeah Probilling runs NeTeller, a paypal like service that's popular with the gambling sites.
Probilling looks good - 9.5% etc.. BUTT ugly signup forms though, which they say they're going to make fully editable in several weeks. Might want to check out ACPay also, they approve more transactions than anyone. And no reserve. |
