This project can never fail once you have the blogs setup and sponsors added, traffic keeps coming in, it wont grow though untill it start getting updated, fail is wrong word.

such innocent naiviety from someone that has been around for so long is refreshing :winkwink:

best of luck and when all else fails, keep thinking positive :2 cents:

I have this up on my wall and read almost every day....

"Many of life's failure are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."

yea well this is not my first project and this project has nothing with my bottom-line money making to do so everything over the couple 100 bucks Iv'e spent is success. Ofcourse much more than that I hope for as time goes :)

Blog SE traffic is as bad as TGP traffic now it seems. It's only those exact targeted keywords that do well. You have to be listed on Page 1, preferably in the TOP 5 results. And you have to have just the right site to promote for it.

Page 1 and the right site to promote for the keywords you are catching is essential ofcourse.

All these blog empire threads fail. Just start one blog in a niche you like for crying out loud and make frequent posts!

I actually started a blog not too long after this guy did and I have made a handful of sales already, probably $200-$300 worth, between sponsor signups, webcam revenue splitting, VOD sign ups plus more sales from linking to my own downloadable clips store. You have to like what you are doing not just go through the motions because someone told you this was the thing to do nowadays.

You mean you started your blog not so long after I started my first ones in 04/05 or you mean not long after this project?

Mine is just a few weeks old. I was hoping to see some useful info in this thread. Good luck with making some progress.

10 blogs is easily manageable with frequent updates....its just a bitch when you have alot more than 10

good luck

GAMEFINEST 07-14-2008 08:19 PM

Make updates, one post per day for each blogs...

Do you think one can survive financially on just 10 blogs? Possibly. If you get that shit SE traffic without the good converting keyword/proper site, forget it. You'll be making only 3-4 sales a month per blog. And that's not always easy to do depending on the competition.

I personally rely on MANY more, since really profitable long term top 3 listings aren't easy to get and keep. Let's face it, getting on page 1 is easy, but getting where the real money is, is alot more challenging and you can never feel safe and sit back, there is almost always a competitor just waiting for you to become lazy.

About 20% of my blogs generate 80% of my income, half of those 20% are constantly changing. The google index and algo aren't static, so pushing just a few sites and hoping the money will keep flowing forever is risky. There are sites that dominated the serps for a huge variety of terms that barely have any good listings left half a year later.

So my recommendation to survive and prosper in this battle: Diversify, as much as you can, build several independant networks and don't stop pushing a site once you got a listing making you alot of money...it's tempting to sit back and enjoy the results of your work, but it will be gone in just a few months or even weeks if you stop adding new links.

Here's a post that makes me happy about this thread :)

Here is a little update for you guys. The network has gotten ~5000 uniques so far in July and made 1 free trial sale from www.bubblebuttbooty.net to STFUCash rendering in $50. It has also generated 4 Loaded Cash free signups, none have converted to PPS yet.

Yea, real props I shouldn't have though, I'm slacking a good bit.

Hey DJ, it is coming along ok, though I'm lazy., no hurry, I am in the process of updating this thread a little bit with stats n numbers for July, just like I did for June.

Nicky 08-02-2008 11:10 PM

I just love how people say I have failed. 1 of the blogs are recieveing 200 google uniques per day already, but ofcourse it has gone nearly 2 months, yea , big failure.

Nicky 08-02-2008 11:20 PM

wtf, only 6,000 views and 225 replies, I'm not impressed. Where are all the haters? Surely I have failed majorly.

As they say, you can't win for losing.

CunningStunt 08-02-2008 11:39 PM

Has this thread been bumped from 2004, or is this guy for real?

I will actually add something to this thread. I am not a full timre webmaster but I wanted to learn about traffic and blogging and I started a blog called http://Sisterlicious.com about seven weeks ago which I devote very minimal time to. I probably don't even have it very optimized for sales quite frankly, and it's on a pretty narrow topic, sisters & twins in porn. I have made a nice bunch of mostly private chat sales to the softcore webcam sponsor CamWithHer.com (my end, 20%, totals $341.50 since early June) that keep popping up in my email every few days, and which will hopefully continue up to the 255 day cookie limit. (Lifetime revshare would be better...)

I also sold a few $35 Adult Rental PPS sign ups. Plus I send some traffic to my own clips stores which surely makes a few sales as well that I am not tracking directly. All in all not bad for an experiment. I can see replicating this minor success with multiple blogs on different topics if I was a full time webmaster and learned a bit more about maximizing my traffic and I am sure that others could do even better than that. But I am too busy filming and editing video and running my business to do it all.

Not bad, all in all. Good niche and good clean blog. It will grow with every update. Just like this project is doing.

Nicky 08-03-2008 12:11 AM

July numbers coming tomorrow. Doesn't matter that I "failed", project growing every month anyway, what a shocker.

seeandsee 08-03-2008 01:33 AM

any sales in, nice project!

waiting for stats. Will read thread afterwards :winkwink:

Good luck.

Paul Markham 08-03-2008 01:56 AM

Thanks for this. With Eva out of the loop she might be doing some of this when she gets home. Can't see her sitting at home doing nothing all day long.

Nicky 08-03-2008 07:57 AM

Stats for July.

12,135 uniques across the network.

2 sales to STFU Cash rendering in $100
1 sale to ATK Cash rendering in $15 (reccuring)

I have been very lazy on the updates, the network still more than doubled in traffic. This is still early day's though.

HomerSimpson 08-03-2008 08:20 AM

bump for some sales!

pimp3611 08-06-2008 05:11 PM

I just recently started my second blog network but I seem to have the same problem as the first. And I'm not talking about updates. The problem is getting back links. It's a never ending process and time consuming one, especially when launching new blogs (I'm building 5 a week)

I was thinking about picking up links organizer. It sounds like it could help me big time. Any thoughts?

How many blogs were in your first blog network? And how many do you plan on building four your second blog network? I realize this is what you gotta do nowadays to make any money in this biz.. but it is so sad. And yes, I've thought about doing the same thing. But it's sad sad sad. I guess we can't all be John Chows.

Links organizer or Linkex. A few clicks and it verifies that everyone is playing nicely.
