Eat less, eat better, make more exercise.

It's not only a good way to loose weight but a healthy living.

Cannot be simpler.

Keto is a fad and should only be done short term not as a lifestyle.

I researched it in depth. It's alright in small doses.

It's really not necessary to go to those extremes to lose weight and get in shape.

ive done this diet a few times and was just recently on it. Works well if u do it right and exercise is key to making it work good. Eat nothing but cheese, meat and chicken wings for a few weeks and somehow u drop a few pounds haha

Are you going to cycle the diet or do it straight? Don't cycle unless u do a lot of cardio and weight training I'd its worthless IMO. Ive gotten good results from doing it for 4 to 6 weeks then taking 4 weeks off eating heathly then back on again. I went from about 300 to 240 where I'm at now. Trying to get back to 220ish by the end of June

Totally agree..

Extreme weight loss usually lead to extreme weight gain, and no to mention bad health..Regular exercising without junk food lead to healthy weight loss..

Apparently, but not by choice.

I had to go the the doctor last week for a check up and after they put my blood in the centrifuge thing and did the testing, my doctor came in and bitched me out because I had so many ketones show up in my blood work. She got all over me and I wasn't even really sure what the problem was, lol.

1) you can't "bulk" on a ketogenic diet because you will be in a constant state of severe dehydration

2) if you want to "bulk" its pretty retarded to be looking at "diets" and not be looking at what your body needs to "bulk"

there is no "good diet overall for bulking" other than making sure you get the right amount of calories per day, right amount of calories from carbs, proteins and fats and have a good training routine

if you are asking this question and are trying to gain mass... you are already so far from understanding anything that you should really stop and spend some time at a body building forum reading, pick up some books on nutrition and body building and more important that anything... learn how to train.

crawl..., walk.... run, my friend.

You know what really sucks? That it really just comes down to burning more than comes in. I have been on pretty much every diet known to humans and it was only when I started counting calories and fat grams things moved and now I have lost over 80lbs. I do control my carbs but only in the way that I eat 'low gi' slow burning carbs to help control my insulin as I have issues with it. Then in turn those good carbs make me feel full most of the day and that helps to stay within my calorie allowance.

I know it sucks but it is the truth. Today I was at a magazine shop and was looking at the magazine covers with a few claiming to have the 'fastest working diet ever' and I had to shake my head because I know I would have bit on that in the past but now I think that it has taken me over a year and a half to lose 80lbs and I have a lot more to go but now that I finally faced up to the reality I would rather lose slowly and be with a lifestyle that I will live for the rest of my life than go on a 'fast' diet and just have to go back on it again in a year when it all comes back.

You could do the same by eating less calories, drinking water over soda or fruit juices and walking for 1/2 hour a day.

i know a lot about it.

1) your not going to gain muscle, people don't gain muscle and you clearly have no understanding of what the diet is and how it works if you are making this assertion.

2) look... seriously... carbs post workout? are you fucking kidding me? you are arguing about ketogenic diets and have no clue what a ketogenic diet is?

eat more calories and you will get bigger? ok slick. eat more butter and donuts and show us all how fast you grow.

3) you will be dehydrated no matter how much water you drink because you need sugars to store water, particularly in muscle... water which is necessary for all aspects of cell growth, maintenance and repair.

you need about 1 gram of glycogen in your muscles to store 3-4 grams of water. no glycogen stores... no water stores. end of story.

again... its all very basic anatomy and physiology type stuff here.

i'm not going to waste my time lecturing you on it. if you had any real interest in learning, you have a long way to go. if you choose to start on the path of educating yourself by defending completely absurd and totally wrong premises, your not going to get very far.

I've been on it and I've posted my experience with it at: http://www.teromiettunen.com/2007/09...s-you-eat-fat/

I also take my gym training seriously.
