I could go on a fairly long tangent about this but I won't bother. To say they are fucking crazy is giving them WAY too much credit. A little known fact is Islam adopted many of it's customs, like praying facing Mecca, from Judaism in an attempt by Muhammad to make Islam appeal to the Jews in order to convert them. Needless to say they resisted and that was the start of the Muslim hatred of Jews.

As for the part about "the testimony of a non-Muslim is inadmissible against a Muslim", this was brought about as a way to have free reign to commit crimes against the Jews that inhabited Muslim lands hundreds of years before Islam was an itch in Muhammad's pants. The next time someone bitches about returning land to the Palestinians they should ask Iraq, Jordan, Syria, etc to return all of the land, money, businesses, etc they stole from the Jews before they exiled them from their countries, even though they lived and prospered there long before Islam existed...

Islam is a more straight-forward religion than Christianity certainly, but than again it was created several hundred years later by a war-lord over decades of debate, etc with local Jewish people who laughed at him, etc. If you put Muhammad's life into perspective it is so obviously a non-divine one (need we mention that he consummated his marriage to a girl when she was aged 9? or that when he moved to Medina with his followers [who at the time were almost entirely outcasts from other clans, ex-slaves, etc] they attacked and stole from passing caravans to support themselves?) But it doesn't really make any more sense than Christianity, it is still a load of shit, only a load of a shit that is easier to read and understand.

The problem with Islam though is the compulsion it has over an individual, since they literally believe the Koran is the word of God, nothing in it (unlike Christianity) is really up for debate or change. Whilst there are differing view points on things like Jihad, etc there are also a lot of commands in there that can't be viewed in any way other than negative (from a modern Western perspective). That said, in Muslim lands time and time again it has been shown that whilst there are a huge number of moderate, even non-religious Muslims they struggle to find the cohesion and strength that the fundamentalists have.

Also don't believe the propoganda about it being the faster growing religion in the world. It is a typical tribal, war-lord (think Hitler with the Germans and his constant references to willpower overcoming firepower, etc) trait to portray their situation as one in which they are struggling and oppressed, but they are on the rise and will win. Christianity is growing much more quickly in other parts of the world, like Sub-Saharan Africa and China and which is the fastest growing faith is up to debate very honestly. If Islam is indeed the fastest growing though, it has more to do with birth-rates than conversions.

Well, God has been showing the "right path" to mankind since Adam. In every era this "right path" was named differently, at one point it was Judaism, at other it was Christianity and at the end it was called Islam.

All these biggest religions are from same, one, God.

But yeah, people have been making changes to the religions by adding things they like and by subtracting things they don't, for their personal gains.

Jews did that, Christians did that and now finally Muslims are also doing this .. and its worst, as they kill for their personal gains and call it killing for Allah. Whereas, Islam clearly says:

who ever kills one innocent soul, will be punished as if he killed all mankind.

and

if you save one human life, you will be rewarded like if you saved all humanity.

Good post, finally a post from a sane person. There are always going to be people taking religion out of context, I guess it is more of an excuse to do it now since we are in times of conflict all over the world. Muhammed didn't recieve his divine messages untill he was 40 I believe, when he went up to the mountains and meditated (alot like Bhudda).

I'm almost certain the point I made about it being the fastest growing was from a solid source, while I don't know if it is conversions or birth rates, I do know that in the USA it is 50k a year and growing, so it might be birth rates in the rest of the world. The reason why people are converting is because it is straight forward and makes sense, contaray to Christianity.

But ya, it does seem to grasp quite a scary control over the person, if you compare a Muslims faith to any other it dosen't compare, they don't fear anything, not even death which is why I think they get a little attracted to fighting heh.

Whilst I'd encourage these 'interpretations' of Islam, there are many more that contradict them in the Koran, and what they consider an 'innocent soul' isn't necessarily the same as what we would today. It's very simple, look at Mohammed's life and it is plain and simple. The guy had two POET's assassinated for making public satires about him after all, and you think the guys who kidnap and kill journalists for being 'anti-Islamic' aren't acting in accordance with Islam? Come on now, if I were them I know where I'd get my inspiration.

When the planes hit the towers on 911 I worked as a shuttle driver for airports. About 80% of our driver pool was Muslim. About 80% of them cheered. Clapped. Praised Allah for destroying the infidels. Several were dancing. High fives all around.

Don't tell me that the average Muslim isn't a whack job! I worked with more of them than anybody except maybe a taxi driver. They are HELL bent on converting everyone or killing everyone.

I asked a large group of them. We are talking 60 of them or so. What would you guys do if Jihad was declared in America and it wasn't some bullshit. It was all clerics in every nation saying it is THAT time. They said they would kill every non-Muslim in sight and martyr themselves if need be. The Christian way wasn't working well enough so Mohammad came up with one that would work even better. The point that people bring up about Islam being spread by the sword is a myth made up by Christians to play down the significance of Islam.

They slaughtered innocent people by the thousands for no real reason. And when we came after them, they hid. Fucking cowards.

What we need is a President with balls. We need a President that will say "If you do this to us again we'll kill every last one of you". And when it happens - and you know it will - that's exactly what we do.
