That was rather impressive. I'm surprised that they would be willing to take the financial load off clients moving to a new processor over that. Def. a company I'll be keeping my eye on. ;)

Personally I think it's retarded for a software company to be dictating which financial service firms that affiliate programs can or can't use.

Why the fuck do programs allow these software companies to have so much control over their businesses is above and beyond me.

It's a BAD BAD BAD idea IMHO.

That being said, I think Segpay is a giant shit stain. But that's my decision to make. I don't need Mansion, or TMM, Microsoft, or any other software company telling me what's best for me when it comes to who I do business with.

I think if you do a search you'll find he's had to put up with the low blow tactics. They see this as a conflict of interest and are making sure they're clients understand and are taken care of.

Doesn't sound like a low blow at all, well...to me at least.

I personally don't think its right for a software company to dictate who I can use for my banking/processing. I also don't get a very good vibe from SEG with their NATS/ibill backgrounds but it should be my choice to make, not MPA's. Either way, its definitely interesting.

I am not sure how you could you say that Mansion knew about this a long time?

Are you saying that Mansion knew about this before TMM announced it?

https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/791375-media-acquires-equity-stake-segregated-payments-ltd.html

I think if you got to move on something, you should do it right away. What?s the point in waiting?

IMO Mansion is taking care of their customers and also protecting themselves; like any business would.

no software company should be telling you who you can and cannot process with - Lets roll back the clock a little to the huge shit storm that hit MPA when there admin got hacked and that was a software hack - oh noone remembers that???? wtf ever -

WG, I totally agree with you about this. It is not our job to dictate who anyone should use for banking/processing. And up till now we have never done that either, but this is kind of a special situation.
We felt this was a big conflict of interest, and protecting our customers and our own company will always be our #1 priority.

I don't understand the reasoning behind this... I know they are owned by a competitor but wouldn't it be better to let the webmasters choose for themselves ?

After the NATs security fiasco, I doubt many will trust TMM with credit cards anways.

its seems quite logical given the string of conflicts of interest. first you have a guy who runs an affiliate program and adult sites ... who then has access to other affiliate programs and their sales/webmaster info... who now owns part of a billing company... why would MPA3 guys want him to have access to all their segpay sales data as well?

Seems resonable to me.

If MPA use TMM/Segpay then they have to rely on them for support - and they have to have their support to incorporate the stats.

TMM/Segpay could pull the plug at any moment on MPA leaving MPA with a fucking great mess.

From what I have seen recently TMM are more than capable of doing it as well.

Good move

I agree with you. If the software company wants to put up a warning that's fine but they should support all of the billing companies it can.

its not right for a software company to dictate to a client who they can and cannot do business with. it is however their right to tell the client who they will do business with. especially if that company admits they are not capable of running it properly. tmm have proven themselves to be at best incompetent on running a affialtes software not taking clients complains seriously and covering up failures in their operations. so in this instance its right. but it really is a non issue and just another nail in the coffin. will any sponsor with decent numbers go with segpay? they need those clients to stay afloat.

Reguardless of the Nats issues, why anyone would touch Segpay is beyond me. It doesn't matter if it's owned by TMM, they were shown to be deeply connected to IBILL a year or so back.

It was pretty much as soon as that company opened there were posts here on GFY about them being at the same address as IBill.. Then you add in all the top people are there. Well umm duh?

That NATS fucked up with the security issue is independant from this. I fully understand MPA doesn't want to work with TMM/SEGPAY.

Everything that have happened lately plus that our competitor will have inside information on how MPA3 works when it communicates with the processors made us have to take this decision. So in other words, we are not making a decision for you that you should not do business with TMMSegpay, we are making a decision that we can not work with them.
We have as good as every processor in the industry working with MPA3, and we constantly add new ones for our customers.

I am really sorry if you can not see that this would be a huge conflict of interest for us.

If I owned MPA, I would do this.. So many reasons for this and so understandable.
