Gotys,
Depending on how much it costs (in time & money) to operate or maintain, that's a decent amount of money - why not trust someone to take care of it while you take a break from this business so you can sort your thoughts and then make a decision as to what you want to do? From what I am understanding, I don't think someone will be giving you that kinda money for your site, so you either lower the price to the highest bidder - or you find a short-term solution to help you cope with what you are going through so you can make a clear-headed decision when you have to. From what I understood from you a year ago, you worked very hard to get your site all that traffic....why give it all up now?

Anyhow, I may just be babbling but whenever I have enough of this, I tend to stay away from a computer for a few days - change the mind....take two steps back...then I come back when I feel stronger to go ahead and make my day.

Ok...ok...enough babbling.

Good Luck to you!!

Trixxxia

You guys also fail to realize that Pichunter has a lot of custom programming... His thumbnail advertising engine is pure genius! I really need to code something like that for my sites... I would assume that if you buy the main site you also get the custom software behind it...

You guys don't understand. I don't want to run anything, I don't want hire anyone, I don't want to count profits, and I don't want to think about that site ever again in my life. I want to live a life where I get up in the morning, eat breakfast, take a shower, and live a day without my subconsiness alerting me 24 / 7 - HEY PETER DUDE! IS YOUR SITE ONLINE? HOW ARE THE PROFITS TODAY? WHAT CAN YOU MAKE TO MAKE THEM HIGHER? WHO IS CHEATING YOU NOW? .... GRRRRrrrr

Gotys, seems you are going thru a burnout, go see a doc for a prescription of Paxil or something... worked for me.

Hell, pay me 5k a month, and I'll run it.

If you get the right person (that is hard to do) you won't have those concerns but will still have an income. I have had the same manager for about three years. I don't have any concern at all about the business. I trust him implicity and he makes me money and leaves me headache free. The main thing is don't make any decision to get out while you are down, or upset, or having problems outside the business. Wait until a calm moment to reflect upon your decision. If you have already done this (It doesn't sound like it from your posts) then disregard everything I have said.

Gotys, you're insane (nothing personal).

Every 3 months you come here trying to sell your site without telling anyone anything. "I want to sell my site, it kicks ass, and I'm not showing anyone any sort of numbers" is bullshit.

Do you wonder why you get flamed?

btw, nice job going from $90/month to $15k/month in less than a year.

That's the problem with CJ sites (which pichunter nominally is - how do you think he got all that traffic? CJ methods.) - you always have to worry about who is fucking you, and it's a fucking full time job.

We've had this before, and the reason gotys won't hire someone to manage it is simple - he's not making 15k a month, so he can't afford to hire someone. He wants to sell his shitloads of crap traffic for a huge profit to someone stupid enough to buy it without proof of revenue.

Again, gotys, you realize you have to PROVE your 15k a month statement right? ;> You sure couldn't last time.. I believe the excuse was something like "Uh, they're spread all around, I can't seperate the revenue out" - fair enough, but not when you're trying to sell a site.

Anyway, come back in another 6 months, maybe some noob will buy it then.

Cheers,
Backov

If you prove to me you are a serious buyer, I will provide all documentation on pichunter making anywhere between 10-20k/month

Dumb remark. Hosting one server with little bandwidth (its a TGP last I heard) is cheap.
PPL. Give the guy a break. He wants to sell his site. You think he wasn't aware of the possibility of getting a guy to run it for him?

Also - about the valuation and in general..
It sounds to me much more logical that lets say.. saying:
"I had enough of milking my cows and the easy laid-back breakfast i have in the morning at my village...
I wanna sell my herds and life-stock for $250K and start a TGP"

I don't see why is everyone always trying to find hidden crap behind selling sites? $250,000 is what I value my art at - I call it an art, like a painting, that is how much I value my site for. And I want to sell it, because I am sick of the paint smell and all the marks on my pants and everyone. God damn it, is it sooo hard to understand? I HAVE PEOPLE SKILLS! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE???

$250,000 dosen't last long

but hey if you don't want the head ache, and want the money, i say go for it!

$250,000 invested in something else, less headache, could turn into $1mil! who knows!

Well, I gotta say, I like Pichunter when I submit my galleries. I wish I had the cash to help you out bud but I don't. As for the proof of the revenue, if I had the cash, I would accept you giving a round figure now, and show the real numbers (real statements) if talks get serious. For the simple reason that the potential buyer wouldn't want everyone to know what numbers he's pulling before he gets started.

It's too bad you want to bail from the business but hey, most of us really just dream of going into this, work hard, get the $$$ and then get out and live an easier life for a bit.

I would agree with some of the comments made though, make sure this isn't a decision that was taken because you're having a bad time in your life. Make sure you're really ok with the decision, or you really "have to" get out for whatever personal reason.

Good luck Gotys

Uh? Call-Kelly sold for ~90k and it's online for a couple of years with solid bookmarker and lots of traffic...

It made about 15k profit per month too... sold for 6x15... Pichunter doesn't worth more than 100k.

so what makes the site worth 250k? this statement, while somewhat true doesn't justify the selling price at all.

you should provide some info so people can place a value on your site and see if the 250k is a good value for your site.

Yep, it's a lot like real-estate.

All info one needs to know to place a value on my site is at http://ranks.sextracker.com and couple of chats with my submitters and advertisers, that's all

Thanks, and sorry. I don't believe this information should matter in selling a site. Sorry.
it matters a great deal.

its impossible to value a business without knowing revenue and costs, as well as the market value of assets, ie custom scripts, etc.

the more info you can give on growth patterns from when the site started would help as well.

Guys, stop beating the dead horse. He wants $250K for it. He's allowed to ask for whatever price he wants. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Simple as that. Don't try to get him to lower his price unless you're willing yourself to pony up the cash and be serious about it.

Do you guys spend this much time on EBay to yell at people that are selling Porcelain clown statues for $200 when you think they're only worth $100?

It's capitalism at work here. If someone thinks it's worth $250k, then let them spend their money on it. I think all of us here agree that none of us would pay that much for it, and we all agree that to us, it's not worth that much, but we have to repect that Gotys thinks he can get it for that price. If he can't, then let him drop his price.

Hush. It's becoming a quarterly tradition. Gotys comes here, says he's selling, won't tell anyone anything, we all make fun of him, tomorrow he announces he's selling some sort of banner or gallery ad spot on Pic Hunter or something else to generate revenue for himself.

Leave us be and let us enjoy our trivial rituals.
