What is a good, small digital camera that can take great pictures?
Anyone know? Just something I can carry around without needing a strap around my neck or something lol

				 | Canon or casios always get my vote for small cameras... I think the canon lens are a little better but I like the style and functions of the casio small cameras... Look at the canon elp series or the casio exilim series.. I have an older exilim that took great pics till I sat on it with the lens out... Even now the pics are not BAD.. Just not always in focus..

				 | Here's another vote for any of the Canon compact cameras. I've owned about 5 of the different models over the years. They just keep on getting better. read up at www.DPReview.com |

				 | Canon's are great cameras. Personally I would be sure to get one with manual controls and image stabilization. Like the Powershot A570 IS. |

				 | these are my two top choice small digi cameras ... 1st leica M8 approx $5500.00 for the 10 mp camera next is Lumix by Panasonic (as mentioned by Dready) there are many different models .. for a point and shoot I'd go for the DMC-FX100 12 mp camera approx $400

				 | As a professional photographer I strongly recommend against sony digital cameras. They look cute with cute little buttons and all, but the quality is miserable. Remember - any camera will give you decent picture in perfect light, but 85% of the time you will NOT have perfect light. That is when you start appreciating quality glass. Buying new camera? Think Canon. Sony is at the undisputed last spot on the list of recommended cameras. |

				 | One more vote for Canon. I've been using a PowerShot 410 for years and it has never given me any trouble. I have shot for my own website with it since I started it. --t |
