The first link is an offer page with an explanation of what the user has to do. The second link provides three different PB sites to choose from.

Step 1 - Surfer gets to http://www.pirateaccess.com/signup.php

Step 2 - Above URL contains text explaining said offer with a "Next Step" button.

Step 3 - Surfer clicks on "Next Step" button.

Step 4 - Surfer arrives at page with step-by-step instructions.

Step 5 - Surfer clicks on http://8.14.147.194/x/pa.html

Step 6 - Above URL contains three links to three PB sites.

Step 7 - Surfer joins one of three sites, gets confirmation email of join.

Step 8 - Surfer returns to http://www.pirateaccess.com/signup.php and enters receipt ID to get access to warez site.

No spyware/scumware/malware involved. The above process takes place on an old WinXP machine, a 3 day old Vista laptop and on a MacBook running OS x.4.

I found it myself because they had the number one result for some keywords I was going for. Not because I was infected by spyware. How the original poster found it is irrelevant, but he probably found it in the same fashion.

My only question is HOW the original poster ended up at the "pirateaccess" URL to begin with. He said he was trying to sign up for a PB site. I have to assume it was a test signup. Otherwise he is just a surfer who shouldn't really be on here at all anyway. But if he's a webmaster doing a test signup, and he went to a PB tour and clicked on the JOIN link...then he would never see that "pirateaccess" bullshit UNLESS he was infected with some kind of shit that made him re-direct. That was what I was saying. I don't have any dog in the "Platinum Bucks is good or bad" fight. They are just one of hundreds that I promote. My only point was that if you're using a clean machine and you go to a PB site tour you will never see that pirate access crap.
