PrimeOutsourcing?? I THINK NOT!!! (BUYER BEWARE)
Kudos Everyone!
First of all let me say this, I am a new webmaster trying to break into the adult industry, and I have used this board to gain allot of knowledge that I would have otherwise had to have gone thru trial and error to obtain. A few weeks ago, I posted a topic looking for a Windows Server Administrator to administrate my box when needed, as I can do most things myself. I got a few responses, and I ended up giving Prime Outsourcing the job. From the moment I signed up, things just didn't sit right with me. As soon as I spoke to my assigned administrator, he told me he was on the server applying critical windows patches & updates. First of all, I knew this was bullshit, because I had ran the windows update myself, and there was no updates that needed to be installed. Not to mention the box had just been assigned to me, and the hosting company made sure things were in order before releasing the box to in the first place. When I informed him of this, he said "Oh" .... well in that case we'll do a security audit. This so called security audit took 5 days for me to get the results from. On March 20th, I got a letter from the support team at Prime Outsourcing saying: "We have applied the necessary patch and hardened your server. We all know that vulnerability and exploits can happen in the course of the server usage. In line of that, we will proactively monitor and will log-in to the server from time to time to check its status." I was thinking to myself, it took 5 whole days for them to do that?? Anyway.... it get's worse. I currently pay extra a month for 100 gigs of remote back up space with my dedicated host. I informed Prime Outsourcing about this, and that the server was already setup to do daily backups. Infact, I forwarded the email that the host sent me detailing what files/programs were necessary for the system to perform the backups, and how the backups were scheduled. However, on March 18th (Two days before PrimeOutSourcing sent me an email stating everything was fine with the server) , I get an email from my host stating: "I checked our backup host, and noticed that your server has not performed a backup since I was logged in and fixing up the backup script earlier in the week. Can you please verify that the files I mentioned in my previous e-mail are undamaged? If they keep getting removed, we can not guarantee that you will have functional backup services." Ofcourse I was pissed. Come to find out that whenever you change the root password ( As Prime OutSourcing suggested I do.) Windows Task Scheduler requires that you update the password there as well. Prime OutSourcing had the new root password, so there is no excuse why they shouldn't have known that the server wasn't performing daily backups in the first place. Since they were so-called doing a "security-audit" and overall check of the server. Ofcourse I fired these clowns immediately, and I asked my host did they have a management plan. Come to find out the management plan is basically around the same price I was playing Prime Outsourcing, so had I known this previously, I would have definately stuck with my hosting provider. It's very important I point out that these people are so inexperienced, that they didn't even have the fucking firewall on my server turned on, but the admin "hardened" my server! LOL, what a joke. To top it off......I wasn't even going to post here, and let these clowns keep the money that I sent them for a month's service, although I didn't even use a full week!!! But when I contacted the "account rep", he was trying to make excuses the entire time. It's one thing to fuck up and take responsibility for it, but don't piss on my leg and tell me it's rain. Bottom line is...... Stay away from these clowns!! |

admin02 is on the process of checking the server after admin01 sent the mail to you. the second person job is to verify what admin01 had sent out. our senior tech should have fixed the backup process if that email was forwarded to us. Then we work with the 3rd party backup solution provider.
Readers, 1. Our senior admin is on its way to final check the server when the host tech logged in. The server is not 100% polished at that time. 2. the email containing an error during backup procedure from the solution provider was not forwarded to us. This should have been done since we are hired to manage the server. 3. client should have forwarded the email to us so we can work on it. the client opted to bypass us. 4. instead of giving our senior admin a chance to work with your host tech to fix problem. client did not. 5. We did not tell the client that were keeping his $100.00 6. client is using our services running for a week. and our admin is on the period of polishing the server and getting to know the host provider. P.S. this small incident does not affect our services in general. we have happy clients and a few who have attitudes like these

Secondly, the solution provider shouldn't have had to email me about my server not backing up, since it is not their job to monitor the server. The server is unmanaged, that's why I paid you fucks! They did me a favor by notifiying me, and going the extra mile to check in the first place. If you morons were doing your fucking job, you would have known that the server wasn't doing daily backups! And ofcourse I opted to FIRE you guys, because it was obvious you weren't doing your job in the first place! You can't even explain why you guys never turned the god damn firewall on, but you email me saying that you guys hardened the server??? The fact that you can't even take responsibility for the missteps of your administrator, shows just how unprofessional, unreliable, and full of shit you and your company are! I wouldn't even use your services if you assholes were offering them for free!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS!! |
