You are mistaken about what is 'wrong' about this whole situation here. It is 'wrong' for a person to nor return a shoot deposit after 3 weeks of termination of the contract. It sucks that I have to come here in order to get his attention , yes. If you would remember from the original post (which mysteriously poofed) Aaron was the first to accuse me of being a liar.... at no point in my original post did I accuse him of being a liar, simply that he owed me $2000 and karaoke equipment. I feel that with him accusing me of being a liar on a public board that I should be entitled to show us much evidence on the contrary as needed to prove that Iam an honest guy. Now is that wrong? I dont think so.

To be honest, I didn't listen to the tape at all. I was just adding my two cents. Where I live (Michigan) both parties must consent as Rory pointed out. If Aaron knew about the recording then I take back what I said. I was under the impression that Rory taped it without his knowing then put it on the boards.

The reason that PIV never paid me 1 month in advance is because the weekly projects were a lot smaller and PIV had money to invest so the company could afford to pay in full at one time. You on the other hand are broke as a joke and could not pay in full at one time so you suggested the payment arrangement. Don't be pissed at me because you could not uphold your end of the deal.

Rory was merely making sure that the events were clearly documented and it undeniably proved that AaronM changed his story. If you listen to the main conversation on the phone you hear two versions of the same deal within 10 min of each other.

Also, part of this board's reason for being around is so people can talk about experiences in the industry. Stating one's experiences or opinions isn't libel or slander, as some might think.

This lens is perfect for shooting both content and for personal use. If I spend the money on a new camera I have to buy a lens for it anyway. I already have a kick ass camera for content but I am not happy with the results from scenic shots.

Got plenty of memory both for the cameras and myself, Killed my wife years ago, just spent a lot of money on several projects...

I think it is time to buy a little something for me.

2: No, I am not a bank.

3: I offered his money back, no arguement.

4: My normal policy is to be paid in full before shoots. The fact that Rory repeatedly asked me to start shooting right away and the fact that he promised to have the props to my place on time and the FACT that RORY told me NOT to cancel ANY of the appointments and the fact the Rory did not follow through and the fact that I was willing to shoot...not turn the content over as he requested....but shoot prior to payment in full because as I have stated, I sometimes do this for proven customers and the fact that Rory and PIV...HIS company....Had been good clients who ALWAYS paid in full PRIOR to any shooting or content delivery is why I feel that HIS offer to deduct the $750 from the $2000 is a reasonable solution to my concerns.

Now... Do YOU have any suggestions on the "Entertainment" options of Las Vegas?

Aaron would you please stop drying to make this sound like my fault and give me my money? If you really have money why would you not pay me my deposit back? I really dont think that many people are buying your ever changing stories here. Last post on this topic, aaron please just return the deposit that you admit to owing me and this doesnt have to end up costing us both more than the $2000 deposit. That seems like a fairly reasonable offer, since the contract was terminated several weeks ago I think that is a reasonable amount of time considering that at no point were shoots ever done. You return my deposit to me , we both go our own ways , and we can be done with this entire thing. I just need my deposit money (the $2000 or $1250 if you would like to supply me with dates/times for tax purposes) before the 13th since Iam leaving for Cali to shoot the content that was never produced. I think that is a reasonable time frame considering that would be approx. 1 month after the contract was terminated. You have my phone number if you would like to contact me in regards to payment. If however you are unwilling to return the deposit before the 13th of this month then I will be forced to pursue legal action (thats not a threat, Iam just telling you what my intentions are). This topic should stop here, no more name calling , no more accusations, court is adjourned. Lets take care of this as profesionally as possible from here on out. Simply return my deposit money by the 13th of sep. and this all goes away. Shit ask a friend to borrow it or something , I just really would rather not have to go to court over this. So please , lets all quit the posting and let this get resolved. Iam the person most guilty of posting a ton on this subject but this stuff is like crack.

I think you are beating a dead horse. From what I have read aaron has made it abundantly clear that you will not receive any money from him until the 15th and you may be lucky to get it then. Especially if you continue rambling on. I am on your side as to the money being owed to you (the full $2000), but your persistence is becoming irritating to me, and probably much more so to aaron. He could end up just saying

and it would put the burden on you to collect (it is a small claims matter), and really the damage to his future business, would be negligable.

I am on the same wave length as you. Aaron has damaged himself, but I also think that Rory has degraded himself, by, in reality, begging for his money. It is a sad scene by both parties, all over 2 grand. The kicker may be on the 15th.
