It was just explained to me that AFF is paying back all money collected via Zango the last 3 months.

We all know that Damian2001 is a huge AFF support/defender so I have to assume that he has gotten this information from a good source and he said I have permission to post it.

I would like to see a response back from AFF on this issue and would like to give them my address so they know where to send the check.

I think a lot of the reason people think they make more money with AFF is because of AFF's poor stats and they have an established recurring income that makes it look better than it's actual conversions probably are. AFF doesn't want to make it easy for you, for this reason. You have to actually contact a rep to obtain the info.

I'm well aware of how it works. So what about the other dating sponsors using Zango such as SexSearch, is Lars ensuring that nothing pops up from them also? Do you even have Zango installed on a pc, cause I'm not seeing what you're saying. Also, if Lars was so concerned about Zango and its effect on the industry and his affiliates, why would he continue to pump money into Zango? He could simply discontinue advertising with them, that would be the easiest way to ensure his company doesn't overwrite anothers sponsor's code.

this industry has ALWAYS been its own worst enemy. it attracts the exact wrong kind of people who will organize, lead or follow. for the most part, its scammers and thieves, perverts, or people with major issues with authority that can't work a normal job if they wanted to.

a part of me wants to care. but a bigger part of me believes its futile. in some ways i feel selfish for feeling that way... but the reality is that most of the money made in this biz, is by people that just don't care about anyone else or the industry. i've been in this biz since 97 and can say with absolute confidence, that the vast majority of people who are thought to care or "be totally stand up guys" just haven't been caught or outed for the shit they pull.

no, actually thats not the case. I just work 4x harder these days to make the same amount of money.

I don't know exactly what percentage of sales i am losing to all spyware/trojans, but from looking at my traffic 1 - 2% of it is from zango, really haven't seen this number increase much lately. If losing 5 figures a year to a spyware company doesn't burn your ass than you are different person to me. It pisses me off and to post about it even if it is just a few hours a week does make me feel a little better, (very little, but it is something).

I share your pain. I sent a bunch of emails from different accounts opposing the .xxx shit. Hopefully that situation will work out

The problem with this industry is that any idiot with a computer and internet connection can be in "business". It is a little harder these days, but now we have a lot of people entrenched in the industry (program owners, etc..) who made easy money early on, have huge egos, and really no ethics or business sense.

The other problem is the same that you see on this messageboard. People are not face to face, they are more likely to do something shaddy because they feel they have annominity behind a keyboard. The same way people act like jackasses on here. really no different. I bet 95% of the people who " steal " online would never break into someone's house etc..

On a side related note, as far as general perception from the public, the hardcore shit doesnt help us either. Lots of people push the envelope and when people see rape, scat, beastiality, sites, etc.. they lump us all together. Some people choose to promote those sites because by pushing the envelope it will give you an oppertunity to make more money. They also feel anonymous and that they wont get caught and/or doing nothing wrong. The other issue that is different is our industy is that to some people this extreme shit is more of a lifestyle than a business. Some of those people don't even have the perception of trying to be professionals, it's their life style and they happen to make money from it too.

This industry is different in so many different ways. I really feel the only way we will ever have a chance is the good people need to seperate themselves from the bad. As it is now, we are all considered bad.
