My best analogy of spware "adware" in the offline world would be a pizza hut sending you out a check in the mail for $2.95 on the back in fine print it says " we worked out a deal with the phone company, whenever you go to make a call looking to order a pizza we will provide you with some "alternatives", than when you go to order from Dominos, you dial their number and the call goes to Pizza hut and they say " can I take you order".
Exactly the same thing spyware/adware does, do you see this lasting for 1 second offline....
