You bid on keywords like any other PPC engine and you bid on URL's. thats like saying he "buys up all the dating ads on Google" - if you are so naive and ignorant that you would make such a statement in defense of something you don't understand to begin with, then you might want to slow down a little and focus on the littler, more important things in life to insure that you don't become the next Darwin Award winner... like leaving reminder notes for yourself in the bathroom not to use the hair dryer in the shower or make toast while bathing.
