Another update on my dog.
First off, thank you very much to everybody who has written or called with their support. I'm sorry for those I was short with on the phone today. Obviously I have not been myself and I've been a bit preoccupied.
With that said..... I spent most of the day tracking down the dogs that did this and I found them. Turns out they have a history of doing this and although multiple reports have been filed with the County Animal Services people, NOTHING has ever been done to prevent this from happening again. Yes, I said AGAIN. The same dogs did this to another dog 2 months ago. Cayman got it MUCH worse though. The county told me they would call back in response to my complaint in 3 weeks. Fuck that. I drove to their office and stuck Cayman's Vet pictures under their nose along with the reference numbers for 3 other complaints filed in the past on these dogs. All of a sudden it went from 3 weeks to tomorrow or Friday AT THE LATEST. The owner of the other dogs live in a rental house. I am filing law suits against the owner of the house for allowing their tenants to keep such animals, I am filing against the dog owner himself, and I am filing against the County for negligence. I have independent witnesses who can verify that the dogs were loose last night. I have pictures of the dogs and a fecal sample since one of them decided to shit in the yard. Cayman is home now. He won't eat or drink much and he's clearly scared shitless. Thanks again for your support. |

While I'm certainly sorry for your dog, that could have some someone's CHILD that got attacked. Maybe a nice lawsuit will help prevent that from happening, and will help to encourage the county to act more diligently when they receive complaints about vicious dogs. Fuck them all in their goat asses.  |

Good to hear you tracked the dogs down, Aaron. Owners of dogs that have attacked who don't put the dogs down, MAKE SURE THEY CAN'T GET OUT, or send them to live on a farm somewhere should be put down themselves.
I love dogs and hate that some have such a nasty reputation, but these are obviously VERY irresponsible owners and should be treated as such. Best wishes to Cayman and I hope you nail those freaking owners!! |

you are being far nicer than i would if this happened to me, I would feed those dogs some poisoned steaks while they were running around loose at night
or better yet, get the dog, skin and butcher them into sausage, steaks and chops, freeze them and at xmas time mail them to the owners with a card and dont sign it and let them think its a nice gift. then a few months later send them the video/pix of your butching the dogs

Aaron.... I know you likely don't need to be told this, but since your mind is probably occupied with a lot right now I'll suggest it anyway...
You need to get out in your yard when you have time and make sure it's fenced in good enough to keep any other stray dogs out of your yard. Maybe set up a landmine where they got in, in case this damnage x retard comes sniffing around. :D
