you are being far nicer than i would if this happened to me, I would feed those dogs some poisoned steaks while they were running around loose at night
or better yet, get the dog, skin and butcher them into sausage, steaks and chops, freeze them and at xmas time mail them to the owners with a card and dont sign it and let them think its a nice gift.
then a few months later send them the video/pix of your butching the dogs
