Now THIS is what you call PROMPT customer service...hahahaha

ok, this is fun...

I was trying to pay off a balance that I had with a monthly leased product, but couldn't get in touch with anyone at the company to do so, so I eventually gave up..

I hope this makes it to you

I have an outstanding balance that has needed to be paid on tabithastoybox.com for a month now and can't seem to get through to you all

Please let me know where I can put a credit card on file or pay online.

I have tried contacting you all from every email address you all have listed, and most get bounced back

I would like to pay you all for my outstanding balance, and I have been trying to pay you all for at least 2 months now

Please advise what I need to do to pay by credit card, preferably online through a secure server

Thanks

Jace
they then send me a "latest updates" email, so I reply to it

the funniest part about this last email was that is was actually a reply from the last email I sent on 11/08/06....so, this was LITERALLY sitting in someones inbox for 7 months before they hit the "reply" button, hahahahaha

I see these people post on boards too, so it isn't like they weren't there

That is incredible!

Maybe I should go through my email and make sure I'm not guilty of this same kind of neglect!!

Good luck Jace!!

Yours is an extreme example but it brings up a pet peeve of many people including me...

It really is amazing how long it takes some programs to return emails. This often seems to be independent of how much traffic you send and the size of the sponsor.

I think 24 hours is reasonable even for an auto responder or a quick "ok lemme look into this" simple confirmation that your email did make it thru' and that someone is working on it.

Some sponsors say contact us again if you don't hear back within a WEEK. How did that become the standard response time?

but often times even take more than that if they ever respond and if they do answer eventually you have usually even forgotten why you wanted to know or figured out an answer or used an alternative sponsor etc in the meantime.

But many of the same people are instantly available 24/7 on ICQ

which is great but as we all know icq can be flaky and some stuff is more detailed than a quick message so it's not a replacement for email.

If you can't get some kind of answer, even a quick one in 24 hours, the rep has too many accounts or something else needs to be fixed.

oh of course the other classic is when you ask the person five questions in the email and they answer one and leave it up to you to follow up about the other four.

Heh, I inquired into a service awhile back when it was being promoted on the boards. Sent an email and finally got a reply about 13 months later. At least they offered me a 50% discount.

They should have preceded their email with, "I am sorry, but your mail somehow got caught in our spam filter." Therefore placing the blame on you!

That's kinda funny.

And I feel bad if it goes as long as 72 hours before I hit a someone with a reply.

Why did I immediately assume that it was Epass you were referencing when I opened this thread?
