Fris, whos [email protected]?

I don't want any "magical" SEO crap, I want someone to correctly and legitimately optimize a couple sites for good search engine results. No trickery and all that stuff.

Is this [email protected] working for google directly or?

oy vey....

I'd re-word your request if I was you. Or rethink your payment strategy.

anybody who knows SEO will not work for the meager payment of a dedicated server. What is that, $100 a month? Let's be realistic - what's a decent SEO remake of your site or sites worth to you? And that's only one market, I'm assuming.

I work in multiple markets, and the honest to gods truth is this: I have no idea how much I'm worth, but I know I'm worth way more to myself than I am to anyone else. In other words - you can't pay me enough to convince me to stop concentrating on my own work so I could help you on your projects.

Think about it for a minute....

And good luck finding an seo guy that will do what you need for the price you want. I'm sure he's out there, but I would seriously reconsider your current approach if you want to find the right guy. or girl. whatever.

Yup, I generally won't consider an offer until I see 6 figures on the table myself. I'd never trade for services

"Yup, I generally won't consider an offer until I see 6 figures on the table myself. I'd never trade for services"

Wow, I want your job. :-)

Also, in relation to SEO, were not looking for like crazy SEO work..
I think SEO is important, however playing by the rules is important to
us as well, so we just want all the keywords optimized and etc for a new
site....

All in all, I think alot of SEO guys out there dont know what the fuck they are doing (not talking about people in this thread). I truly believe they suffer of Delusion of Grandure.

:-)

I know there are real pro's here, which is why I posted here to begin with.
However I dont think paying 6 figures for SEO would be a wise investment.
I just dont see how that amount of money could possibly work to the sites benefit. The ROI is just all off. I could BUY soooo much traffic for 6 figures and be instantly gratified. Not dissing anyone, just my opinion.

I think the thing is, people can help but if you not going to take over after, it will only do so much. Like it's a ever ongoing process.

We do SEO but we emphasize on our clients learning from what we do for them.

But I do want to trade servers with you, I will send you ICQ about it.

I work with some of the best in the business. We have out own hosting company, and a team of programmers, so we are not into trades, but if you would like to hit me up, and do a little phone consultation, I can give you a proposal, a plan and a quote.
ICQ me in the morn, and I'll shoot you my office number:

I could put you in touch with a friend of mine, though I think for what you are after he would charge at least $50k.

I suggest if you are just after some site optimizations any old SEO monkey with some knowhow can do it, its more about what you get wrong than what you get right. If you are looking at actual SERPS strategy and plans plus inside information on getting prized listings then be prepared to part with some serious money. 6 figures sounds about right.

Depending on the job, we charge a flat monthly rate, average low 4 figures for SEO and maintenance.

This reminds me of doing security in this industry.

Hosting companies always want to offer a dedicated server for 6 months. Total fee $800?

Fucking morons... You want someone to stop a hacker from having complete control of your system and you employ 10 admins who can't do it but want someone to come in and do it for $800?

Then again there are the sponsors... Some of you are making $20K+ a day... A FUCKING DAY! And you want to pay $1000 to have someone who actually knows how the hackers are really getting in to lock them out. $1K? I wipe my ass with hundred dollar bills... I'd be out of toilet paper in 3 days...

Perhaps you guys employ some of the lamest people in the world?

Because if you didn't, you could go to the smartest one of them and ask him to become an SEO guru in 3 weeks or he is fired. And if he had any amount of brain at all he could do it well enough to get the results you are apparently looking for.

Total cost, $2,400 I would imagine.

I disagree.

I have done a lot of SEO work over the past 4 years for all 3 of the major engines, and have pulled in some really top flight rankings. I am far from an expert in SEO but know enough to realize I actually know very little in the grand scheme of things.

Some of you would be surprised how much info about SEO isn't available for free. There are some experts in the field who can literally name their price.

Don't confuse SEO experts who can deliver results in competitive keyword fields with people who know how to optimize a page and build some back links. The later are a dime a dozen. SEO is more strategy than having X number of KW's in your page, title etc.

/\ /\ /\ That needs to be repeated over and over again until those who seem to think that backlinks are all that matters finally get in touch with reality.

When you see someone who tells you that they can get you listed on 300,000 search engines and directories run like hell because they are beyond clueless.

And Split don't think that those who are suggesting that it's going to cost you a lot of money are talking about black hat solutions. White hat solutions from those who know what they're doing are going to cost you the same amount of cash.

The best bet is to learn it yourself. Seo don't always work out because of algo changes , it's alot to do but gives you the ultimate control and everything is out there you just have to find it.
