:mad Anyone missing money from thier epassporte account??

I just logged in to my epassporte account to load money and found out the money I had in my account is now missing.
Yes, I have contacted Micheal with epassporte and he is trying to figure this shit out.....said it could take 24 hours...WTF!!!!! He also mentioned that sometimes they move money to protect it when it has not been used for a while, well a few weeks ago it was there, so no reason to move it anyway....it wasnt that much, but it is the principal.............DO NOT FUCK WITH MY MONEY!!!!!
I have read about persons missing money or what ever and now I am in the same position as these people were....holding my head in my hands hoping someone will get this straightened out.
I would put money in there to transfer now, but I have to admit...I have lost my trust in epassporte and who knows what would happen to any money I move into the hands of someone who can not keep track of it or just decides to move it for what ever reason.
I guess the bottom line is, is that no one has any mother fucking business touching my god damn fucking cash.....

Rant over now.........feeling a little better

If your account is with epassporte, then I will go as far to say, your money is not safe sitting in their company.

What gets me is my account claims last withdrawal was the 6th of March. I did not buy anything on or about the sixth of March. I guess it is just too hard for someone to get off their fucking ass, get on the computer, pull up the account and see where the money went....

I find it hard to believe that this so called professional company does not have the time, technology or maybe the brains to go look it up my account and see what happened to my money or maybe epass does not give a fuck....hard to tell at this time.....they have me pissed to the gills.

Few people, aside from epassporte themselves, consider them to be even remotely professional, or even competent for that matter.

Well, I finally had enough of waiting for micheal to look into the issue and called epassporte themselves and found out that the money was put into a safe account for holding because I did not spend it within a given amount of time. I would like to know where I authorized them to even touch my money, with the execption of a business transaction.....fucking assholes

Now I am told it will take the morons 3 days to get the money back into my account.

This is what I have for the epassporte crew

Yes, I did and I did not have any luck, execpt that it was withdrawn. I contacted Michael, had no luck so I called to see if I could get further answers and that is when I found out it was withdrawn and put into a holding account for security reasons....

Exactly what protects epassporte (for now) from their clients moving to competitors, since they don't have any.

I have no personal issues with ePassporte but I keep as minimal amount of money in my account as possible. It's just playing it safe. They are not like Bank of America or here in Canada, TD, etc.

It's not a place to be saving money. Not that you were specifically, but just my .02: Leave as little as you can and move everything else to something more secure, whenever you can.

I think the last time I used the account was around 3 months ago. I was miffed to see that the funds had disappeared. I finally had enough, gave up on waiting on Michaels reply, which I was told it could take up to 24 hours to find out why. I had some time to kill while finishing up some design work and decided to call about my account to avoid the 24 hour period. That is when I found out what happened.
I have looked all over the site and I don?t see anywhere that gives this information about safeguarding funds.
If some sees it please point me in the right direction.

I agree totally. I did not leave much in there as I said prior. I guess it's good I looked when I was going to load money in today.

That is fucking hilarious, I'm sorry. Can you imagine a bank moving your money out into a secret account, not telling you, then when you ask saying it was for your "safety". I know they aren't a bank, but still, that whole scenario sounds a bit shady.

Sounds more like they move money in inactive accounts into their own personal accounts until someone complains. If this was on the up and up, they would have sent a notice or just locked all transactions on the account till it went active again.

Imagine travelling and having not been around a computer in a while, then all of a sudden you try using your Electron card to pay for stuff or withdraw money from ATM and it won't work because they emptied your account...

Wonder if this bullshit is in their terms to begin with. Not that if it wasn't would stop them...

Ummm, if they need to "safeguard" their clients' monies by removing them from their accounts then their security must be fucking Swiss cheese...

I guess this whole situation would have never came to light if they had sent an email to let me know the funds in my account will be moved by a certain date....just like any registrar does with domain names....
This is not rocket science.

When an account have been inactive for more than 120 days we safeguard the funds.
We safeguard the monies of an inactive account because an inactive account implies things such as...
The Card Holder had forgotten about the account
The Card Holder may no longer want to use the account but did not know to contact us and close the account

The money will be returned after the Card Holder contact us.

Then please explain this..........
1). Why was I not sent some sort of notification of epassporte's intention to take action and move my money because it was not used or to check and see if I wanted the account closed?

Epassporte has all my contact information, there is no excuise for not contacting me, execpt that no one gave a rats ass and just decided to do what ever they wanted with my money.

3). Where on epassportes web site, does it state monies will be safeguarded if not used within 120 days????

4). Why is it that I have to wait 3 days for epassporte to move the money back? The money should have been transferred to my account when I called.
What is so hard about moving my money back....again...this is not rocket science.

I know I have made a purchase within the last 120 days and I am begining to think this whole situation stinks of horseshit and window dressing.

If epassporte was safe, why would you need to safeguard them?

I bet your safeguarding is actually practically just borrowing.

i realise your just posting back epassporte rules not your personal feelings on the matter, but that is plain stupid..

None of the above mentioned items requires "safeguarding" the account..

If the card holder has forgotten his account , why would it need to be safeguarded. ?

I hate to be the voice of reason but i know exactly whats going on here.

Epassporte accounts were issued to surfers as "cross-sales" on porn sites, now your scooping the funds , knowing these people have no idea they are signed up for an "epassporte" account. hey all's fair in love and war but thats some shady shit thats sure to catch the eye of someone..

That is interesting because I had money taken out of my account (the account was indeed inactive for a long time) and I have written epassporte 6 times on the issue and have never received a response. Apparently this is the way epassporte steals from customers and hopes they will not follow up. What I dont understand is why some sponsors continue to use them as their exclusive way of making payments. Nothing I hate more than when I signing up for a sponsor and see they only pay with epass. Means I cant use them.

Who can I contact about my missing money?

This certainly is not good news.

They don't want to do this shit to me, I don't care how much money it is....you fuck me and I will make your fucking life miserable.....and you can take that to the bank!
I checked my account this morning and still nothing....
AND
I am waiting on a confirmation from a recent transaction I sent to someone that is going to throw stink all over this bullshit 120 day excuise.

I know I have made a transaction within the last 60 days. I just recently sent funds for a project I am having someone work on.

Bottom line is they have all the contact information they need to let me know of thier intensions and they did not bother to send shit.

Hey Smokey, can you explain this. I am confused on what you mean...."scooping the funds"
Is this a nice way of saying they absconded with the funds?

Good question. And if this practise were for the benefit of the cardholder as claimed, the first and obvious step would be to contact him/her and remind him about the account. There is no more security risk in doing that than in any other communication from EP.

And as you (I think it was you) mentioned in another post, what a joy to imagine you have some money in EP, go on a trip or whatever and discover you can't access the money! Which gets us to the 3-days to return the money and how anyone can claim this is a customer service, when it so obviously has the potential to land the customer in the brown smelly stuff? If this "protection" were going to be applied at all, the return of funds should be instant.

Last activity on your account were November 6th, the funds were safeguarded on March 6th.
I am working on getting the funds returned to your account.

not really absconded , more like "borrowed"

Heres the situaion in a nutshell.

I dont know if they are still doing this but it was being done before epassporte split.

When a surfer signed up for a site lets call it "surferporn.com" he also got a cross-sale for "crosssaleporn.com" but it wasnt your traditional "cross-sale" what it was was they would create an epassporte account for you and deposit money from your credit card into the epassporte account then take it back out of the epassporte account for you ( leaving you with some remaining funds in the account ) .

But in all reality the surfer prob never see's anything from epassporte ( as it was buried in the terms and conditions ) so they have no idea they have an epassporte account. all they know is they signed up for a porn site and mony gets taken from their account every month until they cancel.. no harm no foul. but now theres thousand of epassporte accounts that the owners likely dont even know they own, with small change like $5 in each account. so epassporte understand this and wants all that cash of course.. or at least access to it..

And this isnt such a "terrible" practise , other than they have no reason to "safeguard " the funds.

When you deposit money in a "traditional" banking facility, the bank uses your money to lend to others right.. they never have everyones cash inside the vault..

in a nutshell this is what epassporte is doing , but under the guise of "safeguarding" the cash.. i see no reason why they cant just borrow on these funds instead of seizing them.

I do understand you are trying to help and I have mentioned this to you in our conservations. I am not holding you responsible at all. I find it hard to beleive that epassporte does not notify customers when this action is going to be implemented.
Honestly, It does not matter to me when I made my last transaction, but it does matter that this was done without any notification....and then having to wait to get the money back into my account is another issue
I just feel it is poor customer service...........

Can you please answer these questions for me, I would appreciate it

What is so hard about moving my money back....again...this is not rocket science.

thanks for your help.

I just logged on and see that on March 13th I finally received a response and the money was returned. I appreciate the fact that I got my money back but I started to inquire into the issue on Feb 2nd so it would be nice if it did not take so long (6 weeks).....

I'm just curious to see where in their terms this "safeguarding" part is mentioned. I'm sure I missed it and it must be there, so if someone with more understanding of slick legal text can point me to the right paragraph I'd appreciate it.
