Networking question - printing on a printer in another location

I need to print things on a printer out of the country for whatever reason I need to print things there. Can this be setup somehow? How hard would it be? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. I would have full access and permissions on both computers.

There are probably several ways to do it. If I were you, I would take a simple way like installing pcAnywhere and run the other computer remotely.

Why dont you just send the file that needs to be printed as a PDF and they can print it.

You can add the printer as a local printer through an IP port if the printer is on a publicly accessible IP address.

Because it has to be randomly and 20-30 pages a day.

BigBen, how would I make it an publicly accessible IP address?

Depends on how the network is setup where the printer is located. If it's behind a router, you'll have to setup port forwarding so port 9100 points to the printer's IP address. If there are any firewall rulesets in place, make sure that you open up your IP address and the port on that as well.

Feel free to send me an icq if you need some help... 193963124. Going to bed soon, but will be back online tomorrow.
