Here in Australia we are having our 100 year drought, thats right its the worst drought ever recorded in the last 100 years. basicly jack all rain for 5+ years now, with many cities now considering putting a large supply of recycled sewage back into the watersupply and spending billions on desaliation plants. Its happening alright, an inconvient truth certainly showed some good data to prove that too. Matt |

I watched it last night retardo. Al Gore going on about his sister dying from cancer, saying the 911 memorial would be covered by water, etc etc. I watched it. Him driving around acting like he is doing important work on his macbook. Talking about beetles blah blah blah. Showing graphs that are intentionally misleading, showing cgi videos that will never happen. I saw it all. |

The jury is still out on global warming.

Deforestation is still a major problem, just less so in the US. A change was made. Soil run off and depletion is still a problem, check growth rate of some deserts. Greenpeace - well fuck them. You will get zero love or support for me for them in their current state or what they turned into a decade or two ago. Yes they are more than responsible for a lot of doom and gloom pseudo science that scared people. |

Next time watch the movie, not the previews that came with your other movie. |
I don't really know whether it's true or not. I do know it's been very warm here in Chicago this winter. I was out in T-shirts right around Christmas. I've jogged regularly in shorts. It's supposed to get colder in the coming week, but it's been very mild overall.
It does seem that the only people who don't believe in global warming are Republicans and scientists paid by the oil companies. Not sure why so many people are caught up in defending oil companies. |

But, In bc, there has been a lot of talk of building more coal fired power plants. Now, if you understand why this is absolutely fucking ridiculous in B.C. you might have a clue. Mostly because in the Fraser Valley, it has the same problems as.. San Fernado valley.. Now, you obviously watched the movie, so you remember Al Gore making reference to the jungles being burned in S.A. and the gas fires in Russia. That doesn't cause the same type of problems as coal power plants? Wouldn't bs like that cause more damage? Considering they have been burning the amazon down for god knows how many years. Not to mention, destroying the planets ability to remove co2 from the atmosphere? What do you think of trying to set up sanctions against those countries? R |

No hurricanes? Jesus you're an idiot. ok, there were no hurricanes, fuck it, call it all off, it's all a mistake. Thank God there are actual scientists who don't use hurricanes as their only instrument of measurement. |

Hurricanes just don't appear because the water is warmer, but if the water is warmer and a hurricane does form, then it will make for a larger hurricane. |

How many forest fires today are started naturally? Why is it so easy now for forest fires to start? Why is it so hard to stop them? 1. no idea, a bunch i'm sure, but mostly human started. 2. Yada the world is heating up, everything is drying out, yada yada, 3. Winds. Global warming has a big effect on winds.. Winds will fucking screw any forest fire rescue attempt badly.. Example: B.C. (kelowna's burning), california, (not sure what happened, but we sent a lot of men to help), Australia, (not sure what happened, but we sent a lot of men to help). You have a good point, but you can't honestly tell me that you can burn the amazon down naturally. Seriously. Also, add that to everything else? One car doesn't do ANYTHING. BILLIONS and BILLIONS of cars/factories/greed can do serious damage. You're arguing that we shouldn't be so concerned over GLOOM and DOOM stories. But in retrospect, with your 40 years or whatever, can you honestly say that the gloom and doom has not helped and fixed problems? The big thing growing up as a kid was "Ozone" "Green House Emissions" and "landfills". We knocked two of those out of the park. We have brand new technology that not only incinerates garbage, but using that energy to create new energy, and materials. These plants are entirely self-sufficient, and have NO pollution. the ozone thing took a lot of awareness and some very costly and unwanted laws. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY! :1orglaugh R R |

There are too many things I have control over that I spend time working on fixing. .02C changes in the weather every 10 years just isn't anywhere near the top of my list. |

I am beginning to understand your problem. Global warming is not something that MIGHT happen, it is something that is happening, it is not a single event. Here in my State, bears are not going into hibernation because they are all fucked up by the warm weather. 14 of the 50 states in the US have reported the warmest winters ever in history. While there were no hurricanes, there are lots of other signs that things are just not right. |
Nature would take it's course. Wouldn't matter, because in that theory, we wouldn't exist.
Global warming theory? Are you saying you believe that we are having no effect on the enviroment? That everything i have written here could just be a warming trend, and has nothing to do with our blatant disregard to our home? R |

Because if that's so, maybe you should consider your intelligence a tool not to question, but to predict.
Global warming is a very, very well documentated and real bet. Whereas i've done nothing to convince you that this is a serious and real problem, you've done nothing but feed me wishful thinking and the desire to close my eyes. Not once, once, have you given me an argument that i've had trouble ridiculing, or putting a very real doubt on. Doesn't that make you think at the very least? R |
