i went to task on an "affiliate rep" that promised me something and never got back in touch with me, I never said one word to anyone about that ever, i just let it go, like I let most things go...

He swears he got back to you and from my experience he's very good about that and has no reason to lie. He gets paid for sales, no sales no pay and we pay him a LOT. Our RSS feeds were put together by the The Doc and are very slick if you're account's not terminated for inactivity check it out.

Regardless Jace, this thread has brought some interesting things forward for me, been fun and above all very educational. Glad you posted it.

just out of curiosity, if someone has money in their account but sends no traffic anymore, and their account gets terminated, do they get paid out? and what if the ammount is under 5$ in the account.. do they get a bill instead of a check?

I'm just a little confused by the new approach I guess. Mayors Money was always one of the nicest and most helpful affiliate programs out there. They'd literally do anything to make their affiliates happy and were some of the nicest and most respected guys on the board. They literally have some of the most cutting edge tours in the business (I made a thread awhile back about their solo girl tours and the cam that is simply brilliant).

Which is why I'm shocked that you'd go the whole "if you disagree with us you must be a low life who has no traffic and can't afford rent". Just doesn't seem like you guys at all. I would think that announcing it, giving your reasons, and then telling people to take it or leave it would be much better than insulting people.

We're the same helpful bunch of guys. If you go back to the first few posts I was already being called an idoit by some "who: guy before we had even replied and Jace was nice enough to only post the part of the email about checks, nothing about free epassporte accounts. When people start out that way, there reasoning with them. They have no interest in reasonable discussion. They just want someone to bash. Epassporte charges - thats why I don't use them for any payout. Checks may not be a instant way of getting your money but atleast it's free (or was in this case)

Boy you just jump in to bash don't ya :) Checks are still free, just as they were before. Only catch is I raised min payout. If you still want small checks, you have a CHOICE.

I send some programs very little trickle traffic, and others get significantly more. Some programs convert, others don't! I have somewhere near 100 sponsor acccounts, and if this becomes normal practice I will face a serious dent in my business.

I know some people send all their traffic to one or two sponsors, and that's fine, but some affiliates don't. I'm not sure why you don't want ALL of us to work towards making Mayors Money more money in 2007, though? If our links aren't valuable to you, and I'm a "fucktard" for not sending your specific program more traffic, then please tell me here.

If you absolutely must take 5-10% of every cheque I get from your program, then I guess I'll just spend my time elsewhere. It's the principle of the thing. We all know it doesn't cost you $5 to send the cheque, you yourself admit that you're making an uhhh ethical stand against cheques I guess.

It's also a little disturbing to see the big giant ego's of those who have 'made it' in this industry making comments against the little guys, who have legitimate points. 5% of $1 is still 5%, and you'd be a more humble and probably wealthy individual if you watched your 5%'s.

I think it's a bit strange to see the same people who go to conferences to attract new affiliates, relationships, attend seminars, learn about different areas of the business, and generally come together as an industry balk at newbies. These are the next generation of individuals who will line your pockets.

I'd like to know how much money you folks have made in total from small affiliates who got one or two cheques and keep a balance for months and years on end that rarely if ever gets paid out.

You are shooting yourself in the feet, while at the same time laughing at the small people who may very well eclipse you dinosaurs. They see your foolishness. Don't get too comfortable! A little humility goes a long way.

I would be curious to see how much money a program makes (keeps) from all the people who send a sale or two but never reach a min payout. I bet it is a LOT of money for larger programs.

As someone stated before the little guys allow the big companies to have more working capital to use on their business without having to pay interest on it.

I wonder if the big check option is really fixing the problem of avoiding fees for the smaller affiliates. Say someone makes $100 a week with your program, now he has to wait 2.5 months to get a payout (assuming your big check option min is $1,000) He waits to avoid the $5 fee but ties up his money for months. I think most people in this situation would pay the $5. However it is a win win for you. You either make money off of them by you sending the check every week and collecting $5 or you tie up their money longer now, where you can use it interest free or hell put it all in an interest baring account and collect interest on their money.

Don't flatter yourself and think I am "making bones" with you. If I wanted to pump my ego making bones I would go start 50 fuck lars threads. I am just debating a way of doing business which you happen to do so I am naturally directing my questions to you. I could give a shit which program you own, etc... if any other companies that charge a check fee want to debate it I could talk to them instead if you like.

It's only $500... if an affiliate is promoting dozens of other programs in small amounts im sure they won't mind waiting a month for the cheque. I promote around 20 or so programs (and in the majority of those i'm a small affiliate) and i'm sure the MayorsMoney guys find dealing with $25 or $50 cheques just as annoying as I do. Personally I'd rather wait.

I personally wouldn't have a problem with a $500 payout like you said. I guess $500 isn't that bad for most people. he mentioned $1,000 + earlier which I think is a little rediculas even for my taste.
