its not according to ungar...many ppl said the same thing...he left mvc in june to resume studies...he was my rep there...one day, in june, tells me that he will be leaving in 10 days...so I said, why? everything ok? he tells me, sure...things are fine, but he wants to resume his studies... And I believe him because him and i have chatted for long time prior to him leaving...he always told me he will be resuming studies...

It's almost routine that if the shit does hit the fan, it's inevitable Unger will be included until such time as he's excluded. The whole Paymonde/MVC stuff may be innocent and just another processor going down the drain. If it proves otherwise.. who knows, but chances are others will be an interest in chatting with Joshua since he was not just an employee. Not saying he is involved in a possible Paymonde/EzPayNet/MVC scam.

PS BTW - There are no "good guys" hovering around under these circumstances until the full facts are known - roll with the flow and an open mind till further info is available

we have already chaled the money up as a loss but the charge backs will continue even if we cannot access the merchants section of paymonde we have already downloaded all relevant customer data

all the peopel in the world can initiate a chargeback, but as long as they have proof they provided services.. then there is no fruad commited via that method.

the banks wont get involved, and will tell you all to take it to civil court

in our situation we sent our customers an email explaining that we were sorry we never delivered on the service they paid for for use as proof in their charge back

they were more then happy to recieve the free money

and most of our customers really dont give a shit if the banks or whoever know they used their credit card to sign up for a website

25 bucks is 25 bucks and they are just as pissed as we are

I do know that after we started the chargebacks paymonde killed the merchant login area for everyone so believe me this does in fact have an effect

We at 2Much do not use Paymonde as our main payment processor, but we have met the gang from Paymonde many times, and I think it would be safe to say that no one is more upset about what is going on than they are.

I do not pretend to know the complexities involved in running a payment service such as Paymonde, but I'm sure it would be a safe bet to say that it is tough. Besides the incredible accounting (not to mention the headache of chargebacks and pressure this must bring), I am sure that they are in daily battles with Visa and Mastercard to conform to every single rule and policy change that they make.

So what happened? Did Mastercard cut Paymonde off? Did Paymonde go tits-up and close their doors for good? Who knows? In my opinion, the bashing that Paymonde is taking here so early in this situation is uncalled for. You don't know what has happened yet in reality, so anyone outside of Paymonde that has anything to say at this time is unqualified to do so. One thing that can be said is that all of you who have done business with Paymonde have probably also met them in person, shook their hands, and partied with them at trade shows. Good guys, right?. For those of you who know Howard and Norton, do you REALLY think that they would have purposely ripped you or anyone else off? Come on..

About 3 years ago, 2Much did lots of business with Probilling. One day, VISA disappeared as an option for customers, followed by Mastercard about a week later. Then on a Friday night they made the big announcement that they were dropping credit cards altogether and switching to e-checking, leaving us to scramble to find another billing company. Even worse due to some policy I failed to read or understand, they could not payout what they owed to us at that time. Fortunately, we had sufficient funds in the bank to payout our models and affilaite sites and continue business as normal until we found another processor, so the impact was not life threatening.

I was MAD but I wasn't furious, and I certainly didn't lash-out at Probilling and accuse them of being thieves the way some of you are doing here. Fortunately we already had another payment processor (CCBill) in place, and switching over to them was simple. I took care of my business to make sure we could continue to bill, and make sure I could continue to pay my people.

I didn't understand at the time what was going on, but eventually I found out, and surprise! Probilling paid us, and all was good.

My point is this. If you don't know the full story yet, don't lash out at Howard and Norton. If your business is suddenly jeopardized due to Paymonde, stop wasting time bitching and start looking for another billing company and take care of your business. Give Paymonde some time to fix whatever has gone wrong, and maybe everything will work out and you'll get paid. Don't party with the Paymonde crew as friends and then trash them here without at least hearing what they've got to say.

but: they do not reply to icq, they do not reply to emails, they do not reply to all those threads on the boards. and this is in my opinion the worst of everything. and as i said earlier: Norton even erased his profile on adultwhoswho - don't tell that's something people do who have the honest will to pay their customers.

just fyi: they destroyed my contentshop - since i use their database and their shopping cart. not a smart decision by me, i know now, but why we did that is another story

You have no idea what you are talking about chum. Once your chargebacks get over a certain percentage, which I believe is 1-2%, you then will get frozen, and investigated.

With hundreds, maybe thousands, charging back from different sites, etc. It will give VISA, and MC a major read flag. Regardless, their ability to process will end. Merchant banks will freeze their funds, and they are essentially out of business.

Also, use spell check if you want to be taken seriously.

I've done chargebacks before for different things. They remove all charges. Send me a form to fill out, which I send back to them, and they are buh bye gone.

I'm not sure where you do your banking, but they only tell you to call your merchant if you haven't tried to find a resolve.

My point is this. If you don't know the full story yet, don't lash out at Howard and Norton. If your business is suddenly jeopardized due to Paymonde, stop wasting time bitching and start looking for another billing company and take care of your business. Give Paymonde some time to fix whatever has gone wrong, and maybe everything will work out and you'll get paid. Don't party with the Paymonde crew as friends and then trash them here without at least hearing what they've got to say.

That's quite lovely and touching, except there is one BIG problem. When the principals of the company stop replying to emails, ICQ's and do not come forward to address the situation in an upfront, honest and transparent way, then there is nothing you are going to say that matters. Paymonde can have the time to 'fix whatever has gone wrong' AFTER they address the situation publicly and allay everyone's concerns who's livelihood depends on these funds.

Btw, maybe your bullshit post convinces some of the people on here but there are experienced webmasters on here that see right through it. For you to insinuate that because Howard and Norton bought me a drink at a show, then that means they would never rip me off and I should blindly trust them while all their actions show otherwise, insults my intelligence. 'Partying with the Paymonde crew' doesn't automatically give them a free pass to critisizm and scrutiny when try to rip me off and ignore my emails. May I return the compliment and say that this is one of the most brilliant and true responses I've yet read on this sad and sickening situation. It goes right to the heart of the issue which is that the larcenous sleazebags at Paymonde have made no effort whatsoever to defend themselves or salvage their company. And really, how could they? They were clearly planning this swindle for some long time.
