Post what you got for some variety.

Tonight I'm looking at salmon and green beans, lol. Nothing fancy.

truth is, if you really want to consistently eat what's best for you and also be low cal you are on the right track.

salmon and chicken for meat, go to walmart and get a microwave vegetable steamer for about 10 bucks.

now go to supermarket and get the freshest veggies 2-3 times a week and steam everything, along with your salmon, tuna, and chicken breasts.

broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, turnips, beets, squash, etc etc.

also lots of fresh fruit to give you the sweetness you crave.

no sauces, no dressings.

and exercise, both cardio and resistance training---i favor bicycling and bowflex daily.

and you will be very healthy and not get fat.

Actually I just ordered a steamer from Target yesterday.

No exercise for me. I'm too lazy.

Ekk good gawd man, please do not remove all enjoyment from food.

BTW skip the damn microwave steamer and just invest in a good wok as well as one of those stainless steel collapsible colanders that open up like flowers (you know everyone has one somewhere and never uses it). It will cover all of your steaming, stir frying, smoking, and other forms of quick cooking.

People want food that tastes good. If you desire to go low calorie then to really stick with it the food must still taste good. Make the most out of the calorie items you add and find substitute for the ones that do not bring flavor to the dish.

Spices, vinegars, herbs, and many other components can add a great deal of flavor without adding much in the way of calories, many add next to none.

There's no need to steam your meats. Broiled will do just as well.
Sauces and dressings are fine, but use them in small ammounts and use only fat free sauces.
Lean beef is fine.
Bow flex sucks and use an eliptical machine to burn higher calories than a bike.

There are so many recipes that can stay low cal, it's endless. Even the frozen dinners aren't bad at all. Weight Watchers Smart Ones, Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisine. They're great for lunch or a quick dinner.

You can make sandwiches that are under 200 or 300 calories. Lean turkey/ham/chicken/tuna. Get light bread and use mustard.

I like Perdue perfect portions. They are 140 calories chicken breasts either plain or in a marinade. They are delicious.

Egg beaters are great as well. You can make a great omelette or scrambled eggs. Add some veggies.

Scallops are also calorie friendly. I think sea scallops (small ones) are around 60 cals. per serving.

I could go on forever lol. I don't know any specific recipes. I just try new stuff as I go along. You can eat a lot and still lose weight. It's almost fun to see everything you can come up with.

get a george foreman grill man. best shit ever! Low calories isn't always the answer though. Just eating 5-6 times a day will speed your metabolism up like a mofo as long as it's not junk food and the calories aren't TOO high.

Remember, you need to burn what you eat or it turns into fat. If you're looking to lose weight find your daily caloric need # and subtract 20%
