Actual a interesting topic... I have been disapointed about cam conversions. The high payout at some camsites vs. paysites makes me wonder, how much of the higher payout is due to the shave. Yes, I know I should not compare apples and oranges, but the lack of realtime signup stats, and detailed refer stats at some camsites, really remind me of the old shaving paysite days

personally I think cams.com shaves a little bit. I dont have proof but I have a hunch. webcams.com is GREAT and has never shaved. those are the only 2 ive sent traffic to. webcams.com converts pretty good too

First, I am pretty sure that none of the big / best companies "shave". When reputation is everything and there are millions of dollars going around, who in their right mind would shave a few sales off off here and there?

First, I'm willing to bet that all of the cam companies here are good. Each has different technologies, different performers, different requirements etc etc but I'm sure they are all on the up & up. The cost to SHAVE a few sales here and there takes more effort than its worth anyway.

I think that people who bitch about companies that shave are really just suffering from low sales due to their own lousy traffic or their own lousy chat models.

If all things were equal it might be possible to detect. But face it people, you will have great sales one day, and lousy sales the next. It is impossible to keep every single aspect of your business 100% even all the time.

Think about it: You have a cam site and you want a customer to spend money. What exactly are the parameters of the equation that will equal a sale?

Assuming that the customer you send to that cam site is a real, qualified customer who click on a descriptive link and wasn't led to that site from some bullshit POP-UP or SPAM, the following equation may equal a sale for you : Nice Site + Trust Worthy Site + Sexy Performer + "Personal Connection" to that performer + Credit Card Availability + Room on Credit Card + Wife Not Home + Kids not Home + Hard-on + Right Price + Right Mood = SALE. If any of these are missing, chances are the sale will not take place.

I own a cam site....affiliate programs in the works if growth without affiliates ever slows enough to get the sites and programs launched. We also run some sites that promote cam programs other than our own. Not seen anything anywhere to suggest anyone shaves....and I am the affiliate there.

My company is US based....same as most. Shaving would destroy our business and invite legal action and same would apply to any Cam company. It just would be commercial and financial suicide to do so yet there are those here and elsewhere that think it goes on.

I know the time, cost and the development cost of my sites and of future projects .....Cam sites are not cheap and the ongoing costs are substantial. Why on earth would these sites shave.

Interfering with charity events, talking absolute stupidity, wasting time, etc. I wouldnt put this behaviour past any of them. Anyone can start an affiliate program ya know.
