Paying a high PPS for customers that probably will only spend $20 and never come back, now THAT's an incentive to shave. That hurts sponsors alot and makes them rely on whales to level things out, and/or shaving.

That pretty much sums it up. On revshare a sponsor will only pay out as they receive... less risk.
