I have a good friend of mine that cant pay for dentist wich he realy need.
I offered him to lend him the money so he can go. His reply: I dont want your pity. WTF???? I know this guy forever. I dont understand.

You can tell him he has to pay it back within a specific time frame + interest. Yeah, you don't wanna be a dick to him but a lot of people are like that when it comes to money. Most of my friends here in the South won't take any 'charity' in any form or fashion, their 'honor' prevents them from doing such.

Even if you do just give him the money he may not want to feel like he always owes you so either way it puts him in a bad position.
